This is an amazing example of some things an EV powertrain can do that an ICE simply cannot. I was watching their vid about the car and was amazed at the idea that they’re hitting wheel speeds of over 100mph when the car is standing still or even sliding backwards. You could do that in an ICE car but you’d be starting in 5th gear, at speed, whereas the S1 can do it from a standstill!

I watched the video on it's manufacture - the lever is to disengage power to the rear axle which effectively is like pulling a handbrake - the car has 2 formula E motors and reported;y cost Audi 12m euros.................
