Boot not opening - unlocks the latch but the powered component does nothing

Hi,

My CT has been a total disaster since delivery, the most recent issue is that the powered tailgate does not work. The latch is released and boot pops open enough to get your finger in and open it manually, but the motors are doing nothing.

This is the same when using the in car controls and the key. It’s the same with the car locked and unlocked.

The car is back at Porsche Tewkesbury for them to make good on what was promised, and I have asked for this to be looked at during its stay - but does anyone have any ideas?

I did some searching but none of the recorded instances of boot issues align with this?

Sucks what has happened, but not sure what you are asking? Confirmation that it is indeed a fault? It cleary is.

Only really whether it’s a known thing with a recall/campaign or known solution

I have this evening figured out it’s related to the actuation of the latch not finishing correctly. Fettling with it temporarily solves the issue

I had this one year, on Christmas day morning, which was nice. But it was the latch that wasn’t working and the boot was trying to open

Went in to Porsche (once they were open and I could get an appointment!). They replaced the latch mechanism and said it had got water in it that caused it to malfunction.
