Just got an email from the dealer to say the car is built. I didn't quite believe it so asked for the screenshot and have now seen that it was built yesterday and should be in Emden tomorrow, sailing next Friday.

I'm still convinced something will go wrong but this is the first TCT good news I've had in 18 months!
Ahhh this has given me hope too. y build due to finish today. Going to hold fire with my chaser to dealer for an update (for a week) and hope for the best!

CT4S.

Deposit 3rd November 21, expected delivery to OPC 18th Nov 22.

03/11/21 - Deposit. Estimated deliver 9-12 months, so around about now.
12/04/22 - PEC (I phoned them and arranged directly)
30/05/22 - Build slot assigned, 02/09/22 (expected at OPC 02/10/22). My Porsche, phase 1.
04/06/22 - Received PAG email offer of PEC (already done on 12/04/22). My Porsche, phase 2.
15/06/22 - My Porsche, phase 3.
08/08/22 - Advised still showing 2/9 build (expected at OPC late Sep early Oct).
18/10/22 - Advised now built, but awaiting 12v battery.
28/10/22 - My Porsche, phase 4.
03/11/22 - Received PAG email "Prepare for the Open Road" ("Your car will soon be making its way to British shores").
03/11/22 - Advised 4400 Block "Additional QA check". Estimated arrival at OPC 18/11/22.

I was hoping it would be on the Danube Highway which unloaded at Sheerness yesterday, 10/11. But I actually have no idea if it is still in Kornwestheim, or Emden, and if it might indeed get to Sheerness aboard Elbe Highway on 17/11. Or before end of year. Or Q1/23. Or...

VIN build sheet is showing matrix headlights & Bose, and I have not been advised of issues with either, but I don't know for sure. I also don't know for sure if the 12v battery has been installed - 18/10 it was awaiting, but as of 3/11 only block showing was 4400 QA and not 4371 12v. And I don't know what/why the "additional QA check" and if it has passed or gone back for a 6 month rebuild!

No personalised build photos in My Porsche (visible or hidden in the code).

TBH, until 18/10 (when I was advised it had been built) I was pretty sanguine about info & delivery. But as it gets tantalisingly close, but not quite close enough, I'm finding myself increasingly frustrated. Perhaps it's PAG's way of building customer excitement after a long 12 month wait!

My RWD was manufactured on Oct 20th and is yet to ship.

My OPC has said that he is unable to tell me if the Bose is fitted but has said that they were still being fitted to RWD cars up until November.

Today I noticed that there is a little cross next to Bose on My Porsche when I click on my cars technical spec.

Anyone else seen this and does it mean it’s not fitted or is it just waiting for an amp, hence the delay in it getting on a ship?

I am pretty sure if Bose is on your order it will be fitted before you get the car.
It may cause a long delay but it will be fitted.

The problem is for people wanting something when they place the order, matrix lights were no longer on the options list when I placed my order so I couldn’t choose them, they came back later, but too late for my order.

Bose was on the options list but it was flagged as causing 6 to 8 weeks of extra delay, so I deselected it. I wish I hadn’t because the delay has been 7 months so far anyway and still no car - the 12V battery seems to have trumped all other delays time wise.

Yes, I have the same cross next to Bose. Mine built 18th October (per dealer), 28th Oct (per app). No idea where it is and/or if it is (currently) waiting for anything. But earlier, post build, I did see a dealer screen with a "Block" on it (additional QA check), but no other blocks listed - I want to assume this means it has a 12v battery and, despite the "x" Bose installed.

I also see that the configurator now shows exactly the same "Bose x", with a note to check with your dealer, so hopefully it is just a default vs accurate indicator.

That’s interesting, my dates are pretty much the same as yours. I had a delivery date of 11/11 but that changed and I’m told that the car requires addition quality control checks, but they don’t know what that really means or when I’ll get the car.

I really feel for you, it’s a long time to wait especially when you know the car has been built. I’ve been waiting just over a year since my deposit, but the last few weeks have been the hardest knowing the car has been built.

@Southern Rain @Dalaki that's very interesting. My dates are similar to yours and also my car got stuck in Quality check. My car was out of factory on October 5th with a delivery planned for 14 of Oct. However it has been also hold for "QA check". The dealer told me that this happens sometimes as cars can be randomly chosen for QA check. However the fact that all our 3 production dates are close, it is a bit strange.
And gets even more interesting:
- My car doesn't have the 12v battery. But my dealership has already received it. He has been waiting for the car for the last few weeks to install the battery
- The system is still showing that my car is due for delivery on Oct 14th. We are a month later and it is still stuck on "QA check" without any visibility about what is happening

Please let me know when you have some updates as my dealership has no clue about what is happening and Porsche is not answering

Curiously, my production photos showed up this morning in My Porsche. But I doubt this is linked to further delivery progress.

Do you get a green “online” spot when you look at your car in My Porsche? I do, and if accurate *some* sort of 12v power is being supplied.

Really not sure what I’ll do if the delay extends into next year. I have deposits on 3 other cars (2 pre-launch EVs), which I kind of hope/planned would drop a year or so apart. I now find myself in the bizarre situation of hoping for balancing delays on them! Horribly first-world problem.

@Dalaki yes I have the green spot but it doesn’t mean anything. My battery is sitting in the dealership. For the photos in my case it popped last month after the production. There is a simple way to know when those pictures have been taken. You need to download them from a PC (original format) not the mobile. And then import them in your phone (I did it on my iPhone) and you will see all the details (when the picture has been taken, with which camera etc). Mine were taken on Sept 17 and they showed up in the app on October.

My photos are 14th Sep. This aligns with what dealer told me re production. But exit from production was not until 18th Oct, so obviously some issues there.

My understanding is that cars without 12v battery will not be shipped to the UK (i.e., must be fitted by the factory, and not the UK dealer), and if so then once it leaves the factory/storage I assume it will be complete. But overall, nothing to suggest mine is any further along than yours.

Last week i received a letter from Porsche Belgium that stated Bose remains an issue and that i had to adapt my current order. if i did not respond within a week my order would be cancelled? Luckily the salesman automatically adapted the order once they received the news as well and still gave me the option to cancel the order. Imagine you are not home for several weeks you would lose your production slot for this? strange thing in my opinion...

Re: Green connectivity dot in My Porsche app
It really does not mean anything, my car is in the middle of the ocean on Glovis Stella and I still got the green dot in My Porsche app. I guess it just means that you have connectivity to the Porsche server for the app and not really reflect your vehicle status until it is actually paired properly after delivery (entering the app PIN in the car PCM).

I am currently also waiting until the car is finally locked. My Bose was already removed and thinking maybe of upgrading to AWD. But is someone here waiting, where other options were removed as well? Is it really only Bose and Burmester which are not available?

Update today from SA: exited production 18th Oct. Still showing blocked "QA check" as of today 15th November. The already month(s) long delay following production and zero visibility shows this isn't a random QA check or a quick fix, so I suspect we're in for a looooong wait.
