I was under the impression that the Door Handles are supposed to "present" themselves when you got near the car (with Comfort Access). Is this not the case?

I made sure that all the Comfort Access options were checked in the car's settings, but I have yet to see the door handles "present" no matter how close I get to the car (even holding either key in my hand right next to the door).

Am I missing something?

Does the car need to be in a particular configuration in order for this to work? Normally the car is Plugged In and Unlocked when I have tried this...

It only works when the car is locked. So you walk up, the door handles come out. Works perfectly in mine, they pop out when I'm 2 or 3 feet away.

I keep my keys in a separate pocket from other things. Some things can (supposedly) interfere with the signal. They try to balance the sensitivity of the option so the door handles don't pop out every time you're in the vicinity. For some this seems to cause issues with it, but for me it works just fine.

The feature is finicky. Most times it works OK. I've had incidents where I needed to put my hand under the handle 2-3 times for it to push out. I think this is an issue with the Taycan not knowing the key is near. The other day I was driving, key in my pocket, and the car kept telling me it couldn't detect the device. *shrug*

Locked huh? I'll have to give that a try.... Thanks!

Never had an issue getting in, just curious why they weren't popping out...

(EDIT: Confirmed - The handles "present" as expected if the car is locked!)

If you've locked the car and the key is near, the handles pop out.
When you don't enter, it'll lock again and the handles will retract too.
But when you open the doors, it won't lock again.
Something to think about when you just want to take something out of the car.

Should work when your Taycan is locked and you approach the vehicle. Happens about 2-3 feet away.

If the handles do not auto-present and the car is locked, curl your fingertips under the handle and it should pop out.

Otherwise, the great thing about the Taycan is that the door handles actually work like door handles, so if you just pull on it manually the door will open. ;)

On my Cayenne with comfort access the key fob does not like to be near my cell phone and won;t let me open the door sometimes.

Are you saying that going into the car through the rear lid by waving your foot under the car was totally unnecessary?

That is totally appropriate if you are just climbing in for a Nap.

LOL, I mean if it works it works right? :CWL:
You have to know how to make it work properly, just like everything else on the car, lol!
Sometimes small adjustments in your behavior does the trick.
You have to stand in the middle of the car and kick in the way of driving, waving doesn't work 100%.
Yes, sometimes reading the manual does pay off and you can help people on the forum. :)
