Crack on brake calipers

Changing tires and found a crack on my right front caliper. I bought the car out of warranty. How big of a deal is this?

Looks like a scratch to me. Was this car in an accident?

If that's a crack, I'd imagine it would be spraying brake fluid. Seems like a nasty scratch. Maybe a stone got caught up in there for a while. Maybe matching damage on the inside of the rim?

Deep scratch and cracked paint, nothing major. I would definitely check the rim, it might look worse if indeed something got cought inbetween.

From the pics it doesnt look deep at all only cosmetic, these calipers have a lot of material to help with heat dissipation. Looks like some road debris got flung inside the wheel while driving since it follows the direction of rotation.
As someone else noted check the wheel as well and see how deep the gouge is there.

Recommend checking the carfax on this vehicle. It likely had some activity that was not handled at an official Porsche Center.

Issues on these can cost fortunes to resolve. Why buy a car with a chequered history? Unless it was free.

I'm very curious how the inside of the wheel looks like...
Unless the wheel has been refurbished it must have left a huge scratch.
