Appreciate the update. My plan is to see if you can do it first as my dealer would not do something like this, and I cannot imagine they have a need for it. I would be doing it through a well-known collision shop as they have removed and painted (for cosmetic purposes) lower bumpers and know how to do it. I showed them the plan, but they say, order it, bring it in, we will try. I know Aldo, who is there special order specialist and he helped me with a few questions before, so I am comfortable ordering the part but my issue is the extent of intervention to do the swap, as I would not want to do it if it is too extensive and requires a lot of parts to be removed and then put back. I am a month away anyways from getting the car, then at least a week of PPF so looking at mid June as the soonest to try something like this.
Good deal. I plan on being present at the dealer when the work is done (I can't bear to drive around in an ICE Macan loaner unless absolutely necessary) and will snap/post a lot of pics of the process for others to use as a reference.

I would like to check back to see if you got the parts and when you might be scheduling for this surgery. Mine is arriving next week, then PPF and all so 2 weeks out before I drive it normally but would like to put the order in for the parts depending on what you report.

Parts are in, but I have not seen as I had SunCoast ship them directly to my dealer. The shipment was almost on time. As I mentioned I want to be present during install (not only to take pics but also because I don't want to get stuck in a macan). Now that the kids are out of school for summer break and I have been relieved of my uber driving responsibilities, I have time to chill at the dealer and am shooting for an install later this week. I am super anxious to get this done as I just put my summer wheels back on last weekend, so now all that is missing from automotive perfection is the euro rear-end! Stay tuned.

Nothing is easy in Czechoslovakia; and nothing is easy with the Porsche Taycan. Pic at top is my car in the operating room waiting on the "plastic surgeons" to perform simple cosmetic surgery, i.e. replace the plastic baboon's ass bumper cover with the original design OEM bumper cover from SunCoast. I was quite happy this morning when we unboxed the new cover. It looks exactly how I pictured it would look. SunCoast also sent the Porsche license plate mount -- which appears to be unnecessary and unwanted -- all it does is slightly change the angle of the license plate (probably to make it easier for traffic cameras to read). After about sixty minutes and lots of conversations in the OR, the surgeon emerged to advise that they could not perform the operation today. Apparently, this is not the 2 hour nip & tuck they had initially anticipated. It will instead require the complete removal of all the crap that the bumper cover is attached to (body parts between the cover and the tail lights) and then a recalibration of the radar and any other electronic stuff that has to be removed/disconnected in the process. They told me that they would need to have my car for at least a day, maybe two, to complete the work. And so, I will now attempt to reschedule a few weeks from now when they will have a multi-day Macan loaner available. This was indeed a depressing development, but now that I have seen the original Taycan bumper cover in all its glory, I am even more determined to complete this important mission!

Followed suit and applied the quick fix with help of @ciaranob, I’m pleased with how it came out.

Thanks Ciaran!

Despite all my 'plastic welding' I still think this crazy cheap and easy fix looks spot on - the blocks for whatever reason just look OEM :)! Great job with the paint - your car looks SO MUCH better with Monkey Butt surgically removed :)
