I’m taking my son to Montreal for a Grad School interview at McGill. We’re driving my CT. Does anyone know what US based owners do about charging over the boarder?

For our Whistler trips we have used the EA Canada network. But you need to register with the app etc. not sure what is our in the Montreal side.
Good luck with the interviews! Great school and city!!!

Thanks very much. I did talk with the US EA and they said I can either set up an EA Canada account or just use the chargers as a guest. I plan to do the former.

I think an account + app is more reliable. Ive heard lots of stories about the credit card readers being broken - i just dont get what people are doing to break them?? Id also look at plugshare to see where they are and what network they use - petro canada has a few and chargepoint.

We are planning to do a trip up to tofino in April, so will be using the network there - BC Hydro has some good stations im excited to try! Our Seattle to whistler trips are very straightforward with the EA Canada station in squamish if needed and lots at whistler.

I have a Chargepoint account as well as that’s what my condo building has and I know they’re available over the border

you can expect few if any issues charging in Canada - the EV charging standard is the same for all of North American and your Taycan will easily handle it…

I've been told so by this thread from several years ago…which did a lot of driving in canada in the winter.
