Display crack on Taycan

Hello, I have 2023 Taycan. 6 weeks ago out of the blue, my instrument display behind the steering wheel developed a crack …hairline . Has anyone else seen something like this ?

Never heard of it. Never even seen cracked salvaged instrument clusters on ebay. Should be covered under warranty unless there are obvious signs of the IC display being hit/damaged by an external object (window mounted radar detector or dashcam fell off, someone was loading something long into the car or was driving with long pipes and hit the brake hard enough for one to slide forward and hit the screen - freak accidents do happen).

I do hope this is a warranty item. That display part is north of $8500.

Took it to the dealer, they claim it’s impact damage but there is no point of impact and I certainly did hit it or drop something on it. So dealer said warranty doesn’t over it…replacement is 7500Eu…. am Going to get insurance to have a look at it and challenge the warranty. Never seen something like this …..

Yes it’s definitely a surface crack… started from the top and was about 3/4 cm for a few weeks and now it’s gone all the way to the bottom of the display.

Did you get this resolved ? I have the same that was flagged yesterday by a Porsche dealer. Mine isn’t as bad but looks like a chip from the top.
