My Taycan is a proper family car. We have two young kids (ages 3 and 5), and we take two or three long road trips every year — usually covering between 1500 and 2500 kilometers. For trips like that, rear seat entertainment is essential.
When I ordered the car new, I didn’t opt for the Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment package. At the time, I couldn’t justify the price. In hindsight, I regret that decision — it’s one of those options you don’t think you need until you’re halfway through a long drive with bored kids.
Two years ago, I shared a DIY solution on another thread: a child-safe iPad case and some Velcro strips to attach the iPad to the back of the driver’s seat. While it worked in theory, it wasn’t great in practice. The Velcro edges rubbed against the seat stitching and started to cause light wear to the leather. Not ideal. With the new solution, I also wanted to make mounting and removal easier. The previous Velcro setup was a hassle to deal with, especially when getting in and out of the car. During charging stops or breaks to let the kids play or relax, I prefer to quickly take the iPads down and keep them out of sight.
This year I tried something new — and this time, it actually works.
After hours of searching, I came across the WANPOOL Car Headrest Tablet Holder on Amazon (not sure if I'm allowed to post links, but with the keywords you'll find it!). What makes this product different is that it’s designed specifically for sport seats — meaning seats without the two metal headrest poles that most generic holders require. In other words, it works perfectly in the Taycan.
Installation is very simple:
Curious to hear if others have tried something similar or found even better solutions.

Installation is very simple:
- Wrap the strap around the headrest.
- Attach the holder to the Velcro pad on the strap.
- Clip the iPad into the holder, and you’re done.
