The macan Ev I had when I had my Taycan repaired was very much all but a porsche. Nice Ev, it should come with BYD badge to make it cheaper or just an Audi badge.

Drove the e-Macan 4 to Austria back and forth for around 2000 km in Feb. On the Autobahn it had absolute Porsche vibes at high speeds being 200% more confident than my Model Y performance ever was.
Stepping back into my Taycan was a truely happy and fulfilling experience, though.

Switching back and forth between my 992 and the Taycan is quite equal in comparison (yet both still very unique in their own way).

Loving this thread to have very positive Macan EV experiences with one on order for me.

I have been driving several on a full day test drives around town and out of town and was not really loving it as early examples did not handle very well but they were not optioned optimally (no RWS, no PTV+ and on 22 wheels that do not work well on our round abouts) , that passenger seat belt hitting the pillar is the first thing you noticed, error lights, and then the PCM while it is Android automotive and all felt bloated and icons are just small and too close together to hit just right. I recently went out of town to drive a 2025 Macan EV Turbo and the wind noise was just too much on the highway so hopefully Thermal Glass and front windows tint that I do anyone would solve that. Also, ACC was not available and the dealer said due to the direct sun into the sensor, had to stop and wait 20 min like a router reset. Also, the frunk just pops wide open with recent report that something was on top of the hood and it flew into the windshield damaging it. The last thing is that it starts automatically as you get in if the car is unlocked, that is for sure annoying, where in the Taycan it does start automatically if it was locked and you unlock it, but does not turn on when it was unlocked. I assume there is no Macan EV setting to say, do not start the car until I press the power button to do so. Last one, I had a hard time closing the doors as they had to really be pushed harder than normal to close.

Again, trying to make the point that it is not as refined as Taycan, and for sure not as refined as the now analog dinosaur Macan ICE, if properly optioned, like the one we have Macan ICE feels more premium in interior fit/finish/leather quality. Everyone complains about Base Macan and yes, that is slow, but our GTS with RoarPedal/COBB mods is so quick off the line and carves the round abouts like a sports car on 21-inch Michelin all seasons that Macan EV cannot match. Let's give Macan ICE some credit and a proper send off.

This is some evidence. Macan ICE full leather is the pinnacle top level Porsche interior (behind the Panamera of course that is a limo), where Macan EV even in full leather is still leaning more toward VW level where I did notice as reported that the rear perforation pattern does not match the front and lots of black and plastic parts vs. full leather look and feel everywhere as seen below:

Macan, must be the most overrated car on the market, both Ev and ICE.

My view is that it has to be dialed in just right, which applies to any Porsche. The vortex is designed to want more, and I am totally trapped in it.

I drove a Macan E base model without and a 4 with PASM.
That made a huuuuge difference to me!
Base model without drives like a boat, with it's proper.

US Macan EV has Air Suspension as standard equipment, so PASM comes with it.
US Macan ICE comes with Steel Springs (no PASM), then you can option PASM, then you can option Air Suspension that will come with PASM.

Strange - my Macan experiences do not match up with yours. I drove it on the highway for several hours (road trip) on 2 separate loaner periods. I drove into the sun (west into the highway), used ACC without issues, and had absolutely no wind noise etc.
The PCM was much better than my J1.1. Taycan...

The doors do need to be slammed though - I concur with that. Also, the Taycan interior feels premium, like a 911... but the Macan EV or ICE has always felt more downgraded, in my experience (few data points).

I hope the one you ordered is awesome.
I agree with one of the posts that said if everyone test drove the EV version, they'd buy that over the ICE version.

A couple more positives for the Macan. The use of the interior LED lights is smart.
It lights up green when charging.
When driving and switching lanes, if there's a vehicle in the space, the lights on that side will flash red.
I don't remember all, but there were some other color notifications.

Also, the choices for ACC, ALK, etc. show up on the PCM when turning on assisted driving, so it's easy to pick which ones you want to turn on and off. Much easier than using the stalk and instrument cluster gauge.

The PCM is also more responsive. Probably because it's newer.
