doubt it will work - that fast Charger last time I was there requires a "connection" authorization to start a charging session (it's not general public access - it's restricted) - as of today I see no way to get a "connection/authorization" added to your Porsche Charging Service chargePoint account…so you can only use this "integration" with non-Restricted ChargePoint charging sites…

but they may have opened it up since I last checked - YMMV

Well i went today, and few things:
1. Not all the charging stations are showing on the app
2. I tried all the available DC charging stations at the HQ:
a. The charger tries to handshake with the EV but can't start, it says waiting for car, i start in the app, the screen changes to the "data" with all the amps/kw etc and it just doesn't start
b. One dc station that has "plug and charge" says "vehicle not auth" and is not on the app.

bottom line - not actually charging on DC, i was just able to tell the charger to start from the my porsche app but it's not actually starting.
i assume it would start with the L2 but it's a waste of time for me to test that.

i was there with the MY2025, will try with the 2024 sometime later..

So wait, I am confused. For those of us who received the free charging from Prosche when buying the car, will we get the free charging if charging at ChargePoint chargers that shows up in the Porsche app?

NO you will be charged Normal ChargePoint rates

both Porsche and my FAQ directly answer that question.

the _ONLY_ thing this accomplishes is that you can now use the myPorsche app to activate/pay for a charging session vs. using the existing and more functional ChargePoint app to activate a charging session.

there is nothing "new" here - there is corporate synergy and some internal BS project that was sold to accomplish more than than it actually does - this was someone's pet project to make themselve's look good…

we've been able to to charge at ChargePoint chargers since the Taycan came out in 2019 - but you couldn't use the myPorsche app to activate the charging session - you had to use the ChargePoint app (or other other mechanisms)…

this is a giant nothing burger - and won't allow you to use "restricted" ChargePoint chargers (like your employers ChargePoint chargers as a hypothetical) because it doesn't support ChargePoints restricted authorization mechanism…

yawn, ignore it and move on. You could always use these chargers - you just had to download a different app and pay chargepoint directly. You've been able to do this since day 1 with ChargePoint's app.

Meh, the Chargepoint app is not inconvenient to use.

I was waiting for you @daveo4EV to chime in on what this is all about and I agree that this is about really nothing and actually something to avoid that would clutter our own App and PCM Nav. Much more meaningful will be Tesla access but with so many other brands already added, would like your view if Tesla chargers already crowded and most likely not well designed to access our charge port locations.

Porsche & ChargePoint: CHANGING THE FACE OF US EV MARKET !!!!

Porsche has announced that it has successfully integrated more than 97,000 ChargePoint stations into its Porsche Charging Service, giving its drivers full access to ChargePoint’s invaluable services.

This expansion brings the total number of charging stations available to Porsche customers in the United States to 102,000, with further additions planned throughout 2025.

I think they just copied it from Lucid, it's not changing any face of anything in terms of this "charging roamability"

Any innovation in the ChargePoint handshake seems pointless given how well their RFID card works when added to Apple Wallet: just put your iPhone up against the charger and instant authorization!
Followed of course by slow speeds, either at their ubiquitous 62.5kW units (ranging from high 80s if paired with another 62.5kW unit not being used, or as low as high 20s for a poorly maintained single installation) or a typical ~5 or 6kW at most of their L2 units (although perhaps the site owner is to blame by cheaping out on the conduit and hence breaker size and specific CP model).
