I thought so too, but then, it’s possible the front left bumper, because it’s plastic, already melted from the flames/heat by the time the recording started?did you watch the video? there clearly was a collision of some sort. there is debris in front of car, and front end is damaged with part of it on the ground
I think you may have hit on the answer there. The fire seems to be mainly in the passenger cabin, and burning with more vigor than it has any right to. I wonder if it's an insurance scam.I’m highly skeptical this fire is legit. The fire underneath the car is actually burning on the asphalt, and not the car itself. There actually is no evidence of a collision, the right front corner is just melted and sooty once the fire is put out. And if the battery actually caught fire, I’m impressed and unbelievable they were able to put it out.

Was this owner filling their Taycan with gasoline?
Well, if they put it out in 20 minutes it absolutely was not a battery fire. Sounds like the battery did well given the blazing vehicle sitting on top of it.According to one British rabble-rousing daily (that popped up in my random feed of clickbait)-
Witnesses at the scene said they were running errands nearby when they suddenly heard a loud noise, followed by thick smoke billowing from the street. They ran over and saw the silver Porsche ferociously burning before firefighters managed to extinguish it in 20 minutes. Fortunately, there were no casualties and a preliminary investigation revealed the fire was caused by a short circuit in the vehicle's engine. It generated sparks which started a fire that quickly spread and then caused an explosion.
I'm awaiting their update that explains it was a fuel line leak that ignited and caused a backdraught to the fuel tank.
Gonna quote myself for posterity. TrolliOP seems to be long gone…Btw, I’ll take troll/bot for $200 Alex…
