I normally charge my 2020 4S Taycan at home so in the year I’ve owned the car not really tested charging away from home until now. Packed car with provisions for a week in South Peak District staying in a beautiful apartment with hot tub. Fully charged car (262 miles) and set off. We stopped 2 and a half hours later and while having lunch recharged to 100% at 350kw charger so no addition time wasted waiting for charge. Topped up a couple of times through the week but only when taking a planned stop for refreshments or shopping. On the way home we sat in the car while it recharged enough to get us home which took 14 minutes for 23kw. I used the Electroverse App which was excellent and has 8% discount applied to every charge station I used. Can’t wait for my next road trip and certainly not going to suffer from range anxiety ever again!

Glad you had a good trip; but I hope you didn’t leave the car unattended while charging to 100% as that is one of the causes of congestion and queuing at chargers — the stalls fill up and the person who should have left at 80% has blocked the charger for an additional 30 minutes or more. This has been quite a severe issue in certain IONITY chokepoints.

The J1l.2 Taycan now charges so fast that we no longer charge while dining — we are in and out (at 80%) in 10 minutes and re-park if we want to have a meal.

As you say, there is absolutely no need to worry about range in a Taycan. You can travel all over Europe without missing a beat.
