7 weeks into ownership of 2025 CT 4S ex demo. So far so good, except...
1.Random departure times are appearing on my app, and it's messing with the schedule that a fellow forum guru helped me set up.
Tonight i had to toggle off this random dep time and toggle on my set dep time twice. Eventually had to go into the car and delete the random one, as i can't delete it from the app.
2. I returned to my car last week and the boot was open. I thought maybe I'd pocket pressed the release on my fob. It happened again, and i thought the same. Today it happened, whilst i was on the golf course. Fob wouldn't raise or lower the boot, so had to manually raise it. I put the fob on my front seat, and closed the boot using the switch inside the boot lid. It closed. 15-20 secs later it opened again. Nothing touching the fob. Each time the boot has been found open, it's open about 8 inches.
Only thing i can think of is to wonder, is it possible the car could still be unver the control of some one else's app?
Anyone else having boots opening and random departure times appearing?
Comments appreciated.

Are you plugging the car in at night and are you hooked up to a tariff like Octopus Intelligent Go? Am wondering if that could be taking control of the charge pattern.

Ref the boot, haven't had this. Was the boot shut properly as you left the car? I think there's a procedure for resetting it's opening. Might be worth cleaning out the lock (boot and tailgate ends) and struts with compressed air to see if anything could be caught. Otherwise it'll be a dealer trip.

hi, i have OIG, but it has the exact schedule. My Andersen wall unit has no schedule. This morning, charge has been paused before it got to 100% , and lo and behold, there's a new random schedule on my porsche app.
Note that the new schedule has been toggled on, and my 5.30 schedule has been toggled off.
The boot is shut. I watched it close, then open yesterday. Nothing was fouling it.

If you have Octopus linked to your car (rather than your wallbox) you'll find Octopus set things in the car and over-ride your own settings - which will change several times through charging as they schedule/balance their network needs. The app should reflect what's set in the car.

In my experience with IOG, you have to give Octopus complete control (rather than your Andersen or car). The seemingly random entries in the Porsche app are simply the way it does things. So don’t set departure times in the Porsche app, set the charge level you want and by when in the Octopus app and leave Octopus to it. If you need a charge at a time when OG can’t initiate a smart charge, use the bump charge feature from within the Octopus app.

I've seen the schedule that IOG sets out. I have a feeling that it conflicts with the porsche app. The thing is, the car has to ask for the charge. I'll have to mess about with it when i don't have to go anywhere the next morning.

I'll give it a go. Thanks.

@pollybampton - OIG requires complete control, no other timers. But if you find their smart charging unreliable there’s a switch to turn that off in the Octopus App & just use their scheduler. If still unreliable, delete the device there and just use the 100% reliable native Porsche scheduler.
After 2+ years without policing, Octopus have just contacted me saying they’ll switch me to an ‘unintelligent’ rate unless I use their app to control charging. I’ve tried it once so far and it worked fine. But if their system is still undependable I’ll go back to Porsche scheduling.
The OIG profile and timers appear weird and it is hard to fathom the logic, but they can be ignored.

Your ghost issue is likely Comfort Entry related.
Maybe a sensor problem.
Temporarily turning off that feature may help diagnosis.

I found Octopus's control of charging in the car illogical and very unreliable. I switched to have Octopus control my EVSE (Zappi) and it's worked fine ever since - though I appreciate not everyone has a compatible wall-box.

Turned the OIG off as well - just didn't suit my needs and as we have two EV's

I also had Octopus contact me saying they’ll switch me to an ‘unintelligent’ rate unless I add a device to their app. So I've done it, set up a few intelligent charges then disabled the OIG. Hopefully that gets around it again.

Octopus wouldn't accept my wife's macan whilst my taycan was on. It didn't seem to matter when i plugged it in with the taycan's profile and charged her car with it using the porsche app. She did get an erroneous schedule appearing in her app.
i remember going through all this kinda stuff when i moved to digital photography. Forums like this were a life saver.

I think the OIG is a great idea, it just doesn't work for our household. I've had it turned off for over a year now.

The car is still showing in the Octopus app, but the smart charge is disabled for now. Hopefully they will leave me alone again for a year.

I just have my charger set on a schedule for the cheap rate.

Yeah, you can only have one car at a time in the app, but the API Octopus uses probably the same for your Taycan and Macan so it detects when either is connected to your EVSE and charges according to what you have set in the Octopus app. If they have a different battery size it may be a bit off on SoC.

We have 2 EVs, Taycan is the OIG car and our ID3 isn't so we just charge that during the fixed cheap rate window using its in-car timer to coincide with that. Couldn't that type of thing work for you?
