A tad frustrated, as I purchased my Taycan just back in March and it’s going in for a 5th visit next week for a warranty job on the heater completely failing recently.

I had my previous car (Tesla) 3 years and it hadn’t been in for any work. Seems it’s one thing after another. With my taycan 4s. Question to all, when you adjust the heating does your screen flicker bright and dim ?

I feel for a luxury car brand the issues I’ve had so far is pretty bad if I’m honest. Anybody else’s heater failed recently ?

I had a similar problem with multiple trips to the service department. I finally blew a gasket and started the Lemon Law procedure. It was a pretty easy process and I was refunded all my money except $1800 for mileage (had car for almost 2 years). I now have a newer model and things are better. However, I just dropped my 2023 Taycan off for a seat problem with the heating/precooling unit not working and some issues with the battery charging. I will watch closely, and hopefully not have to trigger the lemon law again. For Lemon Law, you must have the same problem fixed 3 times. Good Luck!

Hi there, and thanks for your reply ! Although unfortunately I am in the uk. Otherwise I would have considered “lemon law” Will see how I get on when it goes back in on Thursday.

I had mine changed a year ago when the car went in for a recall. I hadn’t noticed it was broken at the time. Last week my car went in for a 2nd year service last and apparently the heater was broken again. Fixed under warranty but worrying that this problem keeps recurring. Apparently it cost £4K to fix (£800 part plus labour). Ridiculous.
£4K!! Lucky I have the warranty ! Quick
Update - mine went in last Thursday morning, wasn’t ready last thing Friday, they called to say the technician had the dash board out and said it might be possible for collection late Friday but I said well don’t rush it ! And I’ve not heard back ! Will update next week.

Heater Repair Update - car back today. They have replaced the faulty heater which they say was a flap issue (servo) not working. So the heaters were actually working but the flaps to let the air flow into the car were not kicking in, so the heat was effectively stuck outside of the car. Now working fine. The guy told me last week they had completed 5 same heater replacements/fixes.

Had a new macan for the courtesy car, and Silverstone were good throughout as usual. After driving the macan for a few days you soon realise just how good a drive the Taycan is !! Made me appreciate it again!
Fingers crossed that this is my last issue!

Mine goes in on Monday, they are assuming servomotor failure and it’s not been an issue right up until today, getting in the car at 5.45am and about 3 degrees C! I’m away all of next week, hence why I booked it in, but if it just steams up in the cold I might have to call Porsche assist…

Strange that they are now getting lots with this servo failure.
I don't remember any cases here in previous years ..... and now suddenly there are many.

New member to join the failed heater club. Fan works but cold air only. My car is 2021 and out of warranty with porsche. I have AA warranty so going to take it there. Anyone know if the heater has extended warranty in UK like it does in US?
