Mine is still in the shop two weeks in!

The real question is why are they failing?

I heard from Porsche West London yesterday. They said they had about 50 to fix… but the good news is that they finally have a new part coming (as they are seeing repeats). He thought another 1.5 weeks to fix. I asked about a recall and he wasn’t sure. Would seem it is inevitable.

Mine has packed in too. So in less than two years, thats 3 recalls, 2 non-functioning port-covers and now this. My Range-Rover is more reliable !!

Got to say without any doubt I have totally lost all confidence in the Porsche Taycan the amount of electrical problems and time off the road are a discrace.

So lost all heat contactacted dealer who advised to call Porsche assist and tell them car heating broke and cannot demist screen they will then recover car and sort hire car out. I did this process was ok apart when the recovery truck turned up he said not another he has collected several already this month for same issue. Then hire company trying to put me in a VW Polo which I rejected and got a 3 year old well used BMW 5 Series.
I am informed parts needed are on back order probably 4 to 6 weeks

we will see how quick it turns out to be one thing for sure I have had 7 Porsches over the years 2 Taycans and I will never buy another as reliability for such a premium brand is a joke.
I have also lost all confidence in Porsche.. A Range Rover would be more reliable !!
One issue after another, in just 7 moths of ownership.
1 - Smart Connectivity/ route planner failure (did not synchronise with the car) - driving across Europe last summer. I had extreme range anxiety, on several occasions, with as little a as 5km left on the battery. Porsche and the dealer tried to resolve matters.. They could not. They acknowledged connectivity failure issues (that are hopefully resolved now). They offered me a goodwill gesture of £250. I spent that on excess charging.

2 - Software Update - The car was recalled in November.

3. - Heating failure. The heating failed before Christmas. I stuck it out until it got too cold.

Enterprise delivered a Renault with a dodgy and dangerous accelerator pedal. I complained after 2 weeks, they replaced it. They did not have any premium cars initially because other Taycan owners had them.

My car has now been with Porsche East London for 3 weeks, with no word of the repair date.. This is totally unacceptable.

The Taycan Turismo reminds me of my Alfa Spider, which was great - but I never knew if it would start, or which part would fail next. You expect this from older Alfa Romeo’s… you do not expect this from Porsche.

I have complained to Porsche. I am waiting for their response. I’m upset and pissed off. We had some great trips planned now. We are not going.

Tooney, correct me if I’m wrong but the replacements have been somehow modified, correct? I read that originally they were not but more recently they are?
I just picked up my 22 after three weeks. Once the heater came in I had the car the next day.
as to updates my service manager said he was not aware of any changes. They seem to be the same with no updated. His words not mine.

Good move I just wished it would hurry up as the Taycan is holding its value well at present however I feel this won’t last when more and more folks realise what a pile of rubbish the car is

Same here. I think mine will arrive around September.

It’s a shame about the Taycan, as it’s a brilliant car to drive, but with so many issues I’m just fed up of it. It’s going to be interesting to hear what loan car is suggested when I get round to calling Porsche Assist….

True it looks great as well but just cannot be done with the time off the road good luck with a hire car from Enterprise you can get anything but don’t expect anything much I am afraid from past experience good luck

Ouch. Given the absolutely crap reliability and you might be able to give it back to them. I am thinking about this. You will still get a very good price for it. I don’t know why !

The heather on my 4S failed as well. Waiting already for 4 weeks to get a spare. Is the second major breakdown of my car (less then 25.000 km). Previously the main high voltage converter broke down - took them 6 weeks to get the car up and running. Porsche leaves its customers twice in the cold - sourcing a heather not up to the job and being unable to come up with a solution for weeks. Never seen that with our 5 year old Tesla X
