Thanks for all the great advice here. Turns out I do have two garage doors programmed and frequently open and close both from within the car. So I'll have to decide on the trade-offs of going back to only using just the main garage opener. Feels like I'm just going to have to live with the "reverse, exit garage, close camera, close garage, turn on camera" routine.
Hahaha

How about just programming your most frequent door to one of the diamonds, and using a separate remote 'clicker' for the second door? You can get some really small ones, and just locate it in an unobtrusive spot - problem solved.

I’m with Zwick……the long road is not that bad and feeds onto my obsessive/compulsive tendencies!?

So far this homelink/camera nuance has been my least favorite thing about this car. I get the desire to try to limit physical buttons - but why not permanently place a virtual button on the lower screen and ditch the silly writing pad (or borrow some of its space)?

Assign one of the 2 diamond keys to Homelink.

I use my steering wheel for skip track since Porsche saw fit to omit, and my cluster for parking cameras. This is an issue of needing 3 joker buttons.

Cameras already have a touch button on the lower panel so no need to double up.
