Horizontal air vent inserts - replacement / upgrade?

This on is a bit of a long shot, but I've managed to damage one of the air vent inserts (trying to fit a phone holder!). It's the black gloss piece that is horizontal in the centre of the air vent. Porsche only sell the full vent part which is obviously pricey so it got me thinking has anyone seen any aftermarket alternatives or has anyone looked a wrapping an interior part such as this?

In an ideal world I was thinking of matching the exterior body colour (ice grey) as I already have the interior contrasting body colour option so it could link in quite nicely but any ideas or thoughts would be great.

Not helpful at all, but out of interest what is it that people want to see on their phones?

The cars have CarPlay and Android Auto, and the native PCM allows for call functionality (contacts, recents etc), music from your phone etc

What is it that needs a phone to be in full view during driving.

I have exactly the same problem due to trying to insert a Flitsmeister One in the center of the air vent. Would be interested in any solution, other than replacing the full vent part.

Does anyone know how to remove those inserts in order to replace them? I got hold of a pair but have difficulty removing them.

Mine was split so I just got a very small flat head screwdriver and gently levered it out.
