How do you like Apple CarPlay?

the only thing I dont like about apple car play is that when you want to dial or search contact list, you have to go into CarPlay(if you are not in the CarPlay) and select phone icon. extra 2-3 steps.

for Mercedes EQ, they did better job to add a short cut on main screen so you just need to press a big icon "your phone name" and direct jump to your contact list. I think that's something good for next porsche update might look into it.

CarPlay is so much more "connected" than the Porsche built-in stuff. Do CarPlay but also add a MagSafe charger because your phone will lose battery pretty quickly once it becomes your communication hub. This MagSafe charger is the best option right now:

My car downloaded my contacts list when I linked my phone and I don't need CarPlay to make or receive phone calls.

I don't talk to "things".
It feels weird and I hate it. Some of my children and grandchildren are fans of voice control.

I don't like touch screens either, though I appreciate their versatility. They are a Jack of all trades and master of the unwanted selection, to bastardise a much used English saying.

For me, touch screens are more reliable than (my) voice commands, but still…
