As an added data point, this is not a problem for everyone. Wireless CarPlay is perfectly stable for me with my 2022 CT4 and my iPhone 15 Pro. I suspect it's not a widespread problem at all since we don't hear much about it on this forum. Porsche needs to work on portions of their software, but CarPlay seems alright overall.

Ditto. My Taycan connects with my 15 Pro every time. I do wish I could run both the vehicle navigation AND Waze concurrently for comparative reasons but one always boots the other.

My iphone 12 pro max can connect wirelessly to the porsche pcm, but the apple carplay button never turna green unless i plug in the wire...

Strange. Do you have the 17.3.1 update?

I wonder if it is a hardware limitation of the 12. Call Apple and ask. They've been very good at answering questions when I ran into outlier situations.

If you're finding that only wired CarPlay is working, it's possible that you may have disabled auto-connect for your vehicle's WiFi settings. This often happens if you ever tried to manually connect to your car's WiFi as a hotspot.

To diagnose, when in your car and with the ignition on:

1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi
2. When your vehicle's Wi-Fi networks appear, tap the "(i)" button.
3. Verify that "Auto-Join" is enabled.

You'll need to do this for both your 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi vehicle connections.
