How to disable regen?

Thanks, this might fix it. The appointment at dealer is in 3 weeks.



Just temporary, probably the pads are touching the discs and at high speed there's a friction noise cming from the front.
Disc brakes and pads don't play a big role in stopping the Taycan in normal braking scenarios.

After the first 600 miles or so the motors do much of the braking.

Emergency braking or hard braking will additionally invoke the discs and pads.

Your issue is something else I think.

In my GTS under normal setting regen is disabled by default. Not sure if it's just gts but there is a button on steering wheel to disable or enable on demand
You do have to enable it.

The issue is clearly from the brakes because its the same noise like when I stop slowly and pads are engaging.

Note however that regen is actually disabled/limited for a while at the start of each drive.

If you look at the energy meter, you'll notice that every time you start driving, for the first few minutes you don't get any regen when you press on the brakes. This is specifically for maintenance since the brakes are normally rarely used during regular driving.
