Lamborghini looking to unveil their 2+2 first EV on August 18. Is this going to be a sneak peak at the next Taycan underpinnings or is it just a Taycan with another body?

Most odd as I read in The Sunday Times (Business Section - "Lamborghini scraps electric car plans in favour of hybrids") last weekend that CEO Stephan Winkelmann had pulled the plug after extensive market research since 2023 and did not want to burden the company with an "expensive hobby". Citing that the "acceptance curve" for battery powered cars in Lamborghini's target market was flattening and "close to zero".

The project was actually killed off in secret late last year.

By 2030 all Lambos will by a PHEV of one form or another
