Cayenne didn’t cost $600,000.

I want to see how many actually sold and details of those sold out claims.

Easy to sell out if they only build 10.

Yes the cayenne is cheaper but the principle is the same. A new concept to attract a different type and wider set of customers.

And I think Ferrari knew what they were doing. If they had produced a Taycan type sports car, there would’ve been the inevitable comparisons to their petrol engined supercars with the inevitable comments about lack of drama and lack of excitement which always follow EV’s. By making the Luce, Ferrari have completely dodged the bullet of comparison with their other supercars because there is no comparable Ferrari.

FYI, although I guess the figures can’t be verified, reports suggest Ferrari will make 800 Luce’s per year or around 6% of their total sales. All sold till end 2027 as of the article date.

All sold means sold to dealers and that's because they are forced to take them

Is there ANYONE who thinks this is a great looking car

I think it look nice (I was already very excited about the interior).
There, I said it.
But....
I didn't expect Ferrari, especially Ferrari, would come up with such a design.
I also didn't expect it would cost that much money, totally insane imho.
I think I'm just disappointed for being it a Ferrari.
So many possibilities and chances for an electric Ferrari...
If it was a Hyundai, Kia or Smart for that matter it was genuinely a nice car.
I guess it's just not genuine.

Is that really the case, though? Now the comparisons will be "lack of drama/excitement" AND "it's also ugly." Or, if anything, I would imagine a lack of the former argument would be because: "it's so ugly, I don't even care to compare it."

I don't think the comparison to gas cars matters to EV buyers regardless of the shape of the car. As an EV buyer (and with regards to car looks), I do care about buying a car I think looks sexy and that others might look at and appreciate. I just don't see that being the reality for the Luce.

I think it's a bizarre assumption for Ferrari to think that just because someone likes the EV platform means they don't like the same aesthetic designs that have evolved over 100 years of car manufacturing. We're not different a different species of sapiens with completely different visual design preferences.
