Leak where charging cable is stored

Morning,

Has anyone else experienced a leak in the boot where the cable is stored?
It appears to be coming from under the car as the rest of the boot is dry.
The area is completely saturated & the internal condensation is horrendous as a result.

Not that I have noticed. All appears to be fine, although it does drip into the boot when it is opened when the car is wet, but I don't think this is dripping in when closed (can't see anything at least).

Sadly, this is not drips. There is an actual puddle.

Sadly, this is not drips. There is an actual puddle.

The closest thing I saw on this forum was people reporting water accumulating in the tailgate (the hatchback door). It might be worth while checking for that, given your ST has one.

I’m curious as my boot is sometimes moist too. I tested it with a water hose and found no leaks. My guess is that I stored my charging cable too many times when it was raining and therefore some rain came in the boot.

Whaha, why do you even think about this scenario

I think there may be something seriously wrong with me.

I have kids and accidents happen, and have happened. Always travel with a plastic bag. Used to also travel with a kids porta potty.

** UPDATE**

Car now with Porsche Glasgow. The service advisor knew exactly what the problem was & I get the impression this wasn't the first such incident. I have a GTS Saloon as a loan for 7-10 days.

Will update when I hear more.

This problem is unknown in saloons. Its the tailgate in ST/CT.
People can sometimes hear water sloshing around in the tailgate on ST/CT
It finds a way from the tailgate, perhaps via the latch? Water always finds a way
but usually aided by gravity.
I have the very useful deep hole as base stereo, no Bose or Bumster, and its as dry as a bone.
Its not coming from below and pooling as it would probably drain away the way it came in.

** UPDATE**

Car now with Porsche Glasgow. The service advisor knew exactly what the problem was & I get the impression this wasn't the first such incident. I have a GTS Saloon as a loan for 7-10 days.

Will update when I hear more.

Afternoon all,

Collected the car yesterday after almost 4 weeks in workshop.
Rear hatch seal had failed.

As a result of the excess water the Bose Sub was replaced as had water ingress as well as the boot release mechanism which had also failed.
