Has anyone found a good exterior car cover that fits the CT?

Does the Panamera ST one fit or is there a good third party?

Unfortunately my garage is too small for my car :(

did you find one? My SA says Porsche makes one, but I'm not clear if the normal Taycan one or a CT version

i couldn’t wait so I went with a no brand option that fits the CT pretty well.

Full Car Cover Waterproof All... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092D69NV1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I know that Porsche do an indoor cover but haven’t checked recently if an outdoor cover has been made available for the CT.

The outdoor cover for the CT is > 600 dollars which is absurd.

I have the Panamera ST cover and it fits just fine. The main thing I don't like about the OEM outdoor cover is the material. I used to use OEM BMW covers which are made of Noah fabric. The ST cover can be had for < 300. The main diff is the license plate location. If you need it to be visible, it won't be with the ST cover.

Which size did you purchase that fits your CT?
i bought the large. The fit front to back is good but things like the wing mirror pockets aren’t perfect. I only use it when I’m heading away for more than a couple of weeks so it’s fine for what I need but if you want a perfect fit the ST cover might be better.

I've used Covercraft and CaliforniaCarCover brand covers for various cars in my past (and still have several of the cars and covers). Both companies offer a number of different weight/use covers (e.g. indoor only, mixed, outdoor, dust covers, heavy duty covers etc) and both privide a custom cut and fit. I bought one in Noah fabric (outdoor) for our BMW i3 ReX and it not only had the sharkfin antenna pocket on top, but of course both side mirrors and a flap for the charging port so I could (and do) charge while its covered. Another one for my Lotus Elise i got an indoor cover in a red stretchy fabric (matte spandex). Perfect fit for the mirrors and the unique shape of the Elise. They really are custom fit to the car.

I think both companies I listed have different advantages, although the pricing is similar (figure $300-500 depending on the fabric and options). I personally like the idea of the CalCarCovers since I can get custom embroidery saying Taycan GTS and not have them print their own logo. However I bought a CalCarCover for my MB S550 (w222) and it seemed to be cut a little short (maybe by 2 inches) for the mirror pockets to the back, so that it rode up a bit on the sides of the car since it was just a little too tight.

Otherwise, I think these both offer better options than Porsche does, at a better price. I'm sure there are other brands too, but I have 1st hand experience with both of these, both have held up really well over 10+ years of use, and I'm just waiting to for one or the other to go on sale and I'll pick up and indoor/outdoor cover for the GTS.

Lol, looks like Covercraft watches the forum? They have a sale on now. Spin the wheel, save 10% etc. Will probably submit my order now.

so apparently Covercraft does have the custom embroidery option and the option to remove their logo, but they said you have to call to order these. nd I've tried and not gotten in touch with them yet. But their 10% off and free shipping sale is still happening, so there's that

I have RWD model and purchased the Porsche inside-garage type cover through my dealer. I think the cost was $395. Totally worth it in my option. Quality is excellent. Appearance is excellent. Easy of use is nearly excellent. They also sold an outdoor cover which I assure is water resistant.

Does a car cover help to prevent rotor rust?
This would be for my Audi A6 Allroad, which gets used only for trips beyond the range of my CT.
Upon taking delivery of my CT at the beginning of September, I went three weeks without using the A6ar. Rained almost every day! Rotors were visibly rusty but I figured some use would remove that. The indie mechanic who did my 20k service last week said the rotors are also rust on the interior side.
I won’t be using the A6ar much until the spring when the snow gets further away, and then a family cross country trip.
I’m wondering if a car cover helps by preventing rain water from cascading over the wheels or whether the outdoor humidity will still be a problem.
(Some quick searching found proponents of that theory.)
The indie mechanic said not point in doing anything about the rotors now if I’ll be keeping the car outside during the upcoming winter weather, and should wait until the spring instead.

I don't think the cover will help too much with rotor rust. There's enough humidity in the air to cause oxidation with the iron to happen == rust! Yes, the water from the rain/snow won't be in direct contact with the rotor so rust won't form as quickly, but if it's raining, the humidity will be higher and you'll get some rotor rust, but it's not a big deal. And your mechanic is correct, you will likely get some rust in the veins/air channel of the rotor (between the 2 external surfaces that the pads contact) but again, it's surface rust and shouldn't be a problem unless you are also exposing the car to salt or other rust accelerators in which case it probably still isn't a problem since cars exist in beach towns and the snow belt (like Michigan) with steel (not stainless) bodies, metal frames and iron rotors and are good for a long time before they "rust out". Here in California, my Jeep Wrangler lives outside most of the year, gets rained on in the winter and drives on the snow and slush in the mountains in the winter (Caltrans uses gravel, not salt for ice control) and I'm still on the original rotors at 70k miles (and 14 years later) but there is plenty of surface rust on the suspension bits that are not painted and the rotors are still the originals. It's just a bit noisy for the first few times I brake if the brakes have gotten rusty.

A car cover has some specif and real benefits, but none of them keep brakes from rusting:
1) it will help keep dust and other dirt off the paint keeping it cleaner longer and making cleaning easier (less paint contamination)
2) it will keep bird droppings and sap off the paint, reducing/eliminating more serious damage like paint etching and stains
3) it will keep leaves and pine needles off the car, reducing the possibility of drains getting plugged and causing water intrusion in the car
4) it could (if waterproof) keep snow and ice from forming in the door jambs and locks, reducing wear of the sealing materials like the rubber weather seals
5) reduces fading from the sun in sunny climates and keeping the interior cooler reducing the heat on the interior leather reducing shrinking and brittleness.
6) hiding the car's contents from people that might want to take them from your car
7) reducing casual damage from brushing by it (or from people wanting to key/damage the paint) - or at least making it require more time and effort to do anything bad

Hope this helps with your decision.

Oh yes we do have road salt here in New England!
Fortunately I think just some add'l recent driving is helping to clear the rotors (as expected). The 3 wk inactivity was especially poorly timed by me. But now that initial kind of crunchiness for the first few applications of applying the brakes seems to have disappeared.
(My open wheel design makes any rust on the exterior of the rotors especially painful to see. By contrast, my Taycan wheels are see-no-rust so must-be-no-rust! Although it's always inside anyways.)

Sounds like #1-5 will merit buying (and fussing with) a car cover.
Fortunately I don't have to worry about #6 & #7 in our driveway.

Ironically though, I did have to worry about #2 recently -- for my garaged Taycan!
Our entire family was away from home for over a week, but my wife and I each returned home separately partway through our absence ... upon my brief return, I noticed that one of my ski poles was in the living room ... turns out my wife had driven into the garage to discover that a bird had taken up residence there in our absence ... the bird followed her into the house ... she then -- after many efforts -- used one of my ski poles to chase the bird out of the house and out the garage.
But meanwhile the bird had quite rudely disrespected the glass roof of my Taycan!

Wow, that’s quite a situation. Hopefully once in a lifetime! However I have my other cars covered when not in use, even garaged. Too many opportunities to have some type of damage that the cover helps avoid. But if you want to go nuts, check out car capsules. Like a sealed tent that inflates that you store your car inside of. I could see myself getting this for my motorcycle or the E39 M5 since neither gets much use most of the year now. Your own car show, lol
