If Tesla was stil selling the Gen1/Gen2 Wall Chargers I'd recommend them as new w/warranty - the Gen2 Wall Charger for $500 was one of the best EVSE's going - 15-100 amp adjustable, 25ft cord option, sharable up to 4 chargers sharing a single breaker - for $500 it was high quality, functional, and very very affordable.Porsche Wall Charger for the win! I wouldn’t mess with used Tesla Wall Chargers - I love mine - but new w/warranty counts for a A LOT - and you never know how well treated used stuff from eBay has been during it’s lifetime.
Porsche Wall Charger and don’t look back - great price, great feature set, known support.
The Gen3 Wall Charger currently being sold is a good charger but maximum AMPs a 60 (breaker) 48 (charge rate) - but they can be networked/shared up to 16 units - but the 60 amp limit is less interesting to me given other options.
The ClipperCreek or Porsche Wall charger is a great choice - with an edge to ClipperCreek HCS80 since it supports share2 - which allows two HCS 80s to share a single 80 amp breaker - the HCS100 is a great 100 amp charger, but lacks share2 functionality…
this is why the porsche charger at $1500 with adjustable amps is a great hardwired choice.
