My factory heater is still working!

Is your original heater still working?

MY2022, 6122 miles, put on about 600 miles this winter. During the warmer months I frequent the DCFC stations. I have a down quilt in the car for longer trips just in case.

Those who have had it fail, do you run a charging timer? If so, is it set for daily departure.

Interesting, nearly 1 out of 4. Keep the votes coming for statistical better significance.

Those of us with model year 2020 Taycans will skew the results. We've seen three winters already, and the issue became a thing in 2022.

Update: heater failed a week after I posted this. Apparently I jinxed it!

After 71 voters this is “better” than expected. 22.5%, by nowhere a good performance, but better than the “more than half” sort of sentiment I was getting from the other topics.

No heater issues BUT! in South Florida, I am pretty sure it has kicked ON no more than a couple times....So statistically not sure it counts!

just add it to the total, as long as the percentage keeps hovering around 22-25% it’s in line with expectations. Normally if you have 30+ representative samples from a targeted population you should not see a lot of change after that.

Well, problems always appear on internet, not the trouble-free ones...
So yeah, good poll. 👍🏻

Mine's brand new (produced Nov '22), ~2k miles with plenty of those below freezing/parked for hours in the cold (garaged at night, though). Daily timer with preheating enabled, and I'll admit I'm relieved every time I open the door and feel the warmth in the cockpit.

Maybe the low percentage it's because Porsche was sending most of the Tayans to warm climates? When I was looking for allocations for over a year, most of them seem to have gone to Calfornia, Arizona, Texas -all places where heaters don't operate much. There was some going to the east coast, but definitely less than to the warm states.

MY22 7400 miles since July 2022. I live in NE England so pretty cold winters. Daily driver and my heaters are still
Working. Had a weird 24hrs late December where the heaters weren’t blowing hot air then it seemed to fix its self. No issues since.
