My Porsche Problems

Greetings all,

My MyPorsche app randomly decided to stop syncing to my car. No idea why, but whenever I get on the app it says my car is either in standby mode or there’s no connection. I’ve tried relogging in, trying to get the app to connect while my phone was physically connected to the car, and even trying online via my computer; still no dice. My phone is just giving me now 3 days old info. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

It’ll pass. Give it a day or so and I bet it will be back to normal. I’ve had that a few times. Usually back the next morning. Once lasted a few days. Hasn’t happened in a while.

Try deleting the app from your phone and tell the car to forget your phone. Reinstall the app and then reconnect your phone to the PCM.

If you are also having the problem on my.Porsche.com (connecting through a browser vs the App) obviously this has nothing to do with the app itself and it is more a serious connectivity problem between the car and My Porsche. When this happens, I recommend that you open a ticket with Porsche Smartmobility team, they are very reactive. You can find their email address for your region in the Porsche app.
It is the best way to get this kind of bugs fixed at some point and it will benefit to everyone.

+1 to this. I am new and I panicked (as in something already broke) when Spotify was greyed out when my son tried to use it coming back from tennis, so I posted on the forum to figure out why, and all you have to do is wait another day, and it came back. This seems to be the same with My Porsche, XM, PFS (financial so you cannot even pay the payment), and so on, as to them it is totally normal for having something not work for a day or more.

I had once that issue but I don't recall why it happened. However, I called Porsche hotline and they helped me. I would offer to do the same. I am not sure anymore, but I think they had me delete my user profile completely in the car PCM. Then I redid the whole log in in the car as if I was a new user to the car. It did relog to my profile and got back all my settings. Then I reinstalled my phone app and did the login and all of it was corrected.

I also experienced these problems. There were exceptionally many connectivity issues this week. I think they have been doing some updates/changes to the system causing a lot of hick-ups.
