Interesting, mine went out May 4.
What was Porsche Support able to do remotely that got you connected the last time?
Mime came back on 30th April after 6 day outage. Prior to that it was out for 1 day around 17th April from memory. I had a booking at PRG Guildford on 6th May which I cancelled after talking to the techs there as vehicle does not store LTE related faults unless a component such as OTA control unit or Comns box has actually failed. They have a view that it might be due to Porsche carrying out lots of server upgrades at the moment. I have a provisional booking at Reading for 25th May .... just in case.

Hopefully they pinpoint the issue. OTA module was replaced on my car though it took weeks to authorize the replacement. However it is back in the shop to replace the “PCM screen”

Back online and apparently not a hardware failure.

Dealer performed the 12V Battery reset and then programmed the Over the air control unit, PCM and external communications module.

TL;DR: My LTE stopped working and the dealership got it connected again

After working faithfully for a long while, I lost my LTE connection on April 15th. I waited several weeks to see if it would miraculously recover and also tried a PCM reset to no avail. I finally made an appointment with my local dealer to have them look at it and also perform a 20K mile service. (which I still think is an absurd money grab)

I'm happy to report that in only a couple of days they were able to get LTE connecting again, without having to replace the OTA module or any hardware. The SA at first tried to claim that a subscription had expired and that I might need to contact the data provider (Verizon or AT&T, presumably) but I let him know that my Connect service was still active, and in any case, it's the car and Porsche that has the connection to a provider, not me. I recommended he check with PCNA. He said he'd have his foreman and Taycan specialist look into it. Low and behold, a few hours later I noticed the car was updated and showing as connected on the App!

He wasn't able to explain exactly what the Tech did, but the service paperwork states: "performed automatic coding of the Connect CU individually" which restored the functionality.

Just sharing in case this helps anyone else.

Thank you. I lost my LTE for the second time on May 5th. I can make an SOS call and I have an appointment in about a week. I will ask about this automatic coding of the Connect CU!

First off sorry to hear of your LTE issue and yes the 20K service is insane for what they do.
The automatic coding blah blah blah is generic speak for resetting the control units and reloading the software (sometimes newer versions). I’ve seen that term used one too many times in the past. The result can be mixed but usually issues will reoccur.

Second time for me as well. Out since May 3. Last time Porsche support responded to me and had me send pictures and got resolved. No response this time to 2 emails.

Got the same no LTE problem om MY2020. Tried searching the forum but unable to find the "12v reset" procedure. Anyone care to elaborate? Is it more refined than yanking off all the plastic and disconnecting the 12 volt battery?

So, tried a 5 minute disconnect of the 12v battery, but still no LTS connection. Then did a 10 minute one, and finally got the LTE activated. Unable to connect to my online profile though, so left the car for a few hours before trying again. On the susequent third try the PCM finally logged on and all preferences were downloaded and activated. Probably saved me having the car at the local Porsche center overnight.

I had this problem happen to me as well earlier in May. I waited a few days for it to resolve, and then at the suggestion of my SA I pulled the fuses for "Control unit for wireless data transmission (LHD vehicles)" and then reinstalled them a few minutes later.

This seems to have done it but YMMV, and I am not responsible for any damages.. etc, etc. The 12v reset is probably "easier" to do overall because the fuses are in the footwell and it isn't the most comfortable place to work.

Once reconnected I, like others here, had to wait a while before I was able to successfully log in to the PCM again (several hours at least - I left it alone at least six while doing other things.)

Thanks for the info. Fuse diagram shows 2 fuses with that label. You pulled both of them?

Yes, I pulled both. I'm not sure if it was necessary to pull both; I did pull the fuse in Row A first and that didn't seem to do it so I pulled both and that did the trick. It's possible you only need to pull the one in row C but I didn't try that.

Update--My SA called me to let me know that the LTE module had switched to a "flight mode" or a transport mode. They had to change the mode and it is back up. . . . I had also taken my mobile charger in with the car to see if there was a solution to the car timing out at connection established when I connect the car to charge. No solution to that issue. . .
