I'm a bit tardy updating this but just wanted to close the loop on my comments. Had it in last week for the PCM update and unsurprisingly data connectivity was all up and running again. I assume something gets changed at Porsche services end which can result in it dropping off their network.

This has prompted me to close the loop too. It turned out that my comms module needed replacing. It may have just been a coincidence that I lost connectivity at the same time as Porsche started messing with the servers, or maybe one variety of comms unit didn’t play nice with the new server.
Anyway, new comms unit and update of PCM and I’m back liking the car again. The connection has been solid since.

the icons on the dash seem to indicate it lost its ability to use the LTE modem - before on top, after on the bottom.

Yep, dropped off the network. Obvious question would be, how is your cell connection from the same location (no WiFi)?

its dead everywhere. those symbols with cross-through are always there now, no matter where i am. i've tried rebooting, no dice.

Ok so most likely a hardware issue and the Comms module needs replacing.

I did the 12v battery disconnect for 5 min, and when it came back on the LTE icon was there. Let it sit locked for a bit (hour maybe) and now it works!
