Is anyone else have issues with the nav (not carplay) freezing then black screen with 'loading navigation' message on it. It does come back but takes about a minute. Other functions continue to work. Last night it reloaded twice, but its happened on the last three journeys where I've used it. It had its first service in November and I don't remember it happening before that.

Already 77 pages … but i found this problem few days ago, not 8+ months 🤯😱😤
I had my 4S almost 9 months and everything works fine till last update 🤷‍♂️

To save you reading the entire navigation thread, the workaround is to disable the dynamic charge planning in the navigation settings. Which limits its usefulness, but at least stops the crashing.

Afaik, you can preheat battery if manually select charging station, but i didn’t try it since i don’t need to charge on public stations anymore.

Fist ever manic reloading and collapse of Nav within 5 minutes of setting off. Charge planning has always been set but I have not experienced the issue before today.
However. The only difference? I sent my route plan (without charging stops as the battery was full) from the app.
I have now had to disable the charge planner and do a two finger reset to get Nav back.
Needless to say I shall not be sending any route via the app in future and contact will be made with P Ag.

Has nothing to do with sending from the app the route.

It doesn’t even send the route to begin with, it just only sends the destination and stops point, and the car recalculates the route, every time.

If it has nothing to do with sending destination from the app why is this the first time in two years of use that it has crashed?
That is the only outlier in this episode.
Not trying to be pedantic just applying logic to my experience.
Return journey via a different route, experienced no issues whstsoever

However,......... My ' Home' details, 'favourite destinations' and Apple Car Play set up have all disappeared......................

Spooky, Mulder. For those of an 'X' thought...

Placebo.

It literarlly happens/affects to all j1.1 cars in europe since 9+ months. It's literarly confirmed by porsche service centers.

You're not special - unless you're running a USA imported car, which don't seem to have the issue... nothing to do with the actual car though, they just have much less high speed chargers :D

It doesn't happen so much on common routes, and of course, it doesn't happen much on very short routes.

Not sure why it’s always referred to as a J1.1 issue my J1.2 has had the same issue from new in Dec 24.

I think because of notional reported incidence....

Very few people with fully updated J1.2 cars seem to have reported the same symptoms. Lots of J1.1 owners have.

Does your car suffer the same symptoms, and is it on the very latest PCM version? (Genuine question as I was hoping Porsche might see sense and merge s/w branches, giving a potential cure for J1.1s).

Yes, it randomly freezes and reboots, usually just before a turn or charging stop which you then miss. But it is totally random I got all the way to Bordeaux last October with no issue then the whole time there and all the way back it was a constant problem.
It hasn’t been into a dealer so has the same PCM as it had from new, the dealer did the usual “not heard of this issue before” when I first contacted them and have since then told me there is no fix at the moment.

I'd be inclined to get the s/w upgraded. As per chun's list I think there were issues with earlier iterations even on J1.2 but think they were largely resolved.

The issue for J1.1 cars is Porsche not allowing those later releases to be installed.

Could be wrong, but would be interesting to find out.
