Interesting point(s) @McgR and @bsclywilly. I've had one new car in my life, my 981 Cayman S (two for my wife). When I ordered the Cayman I was very careful to keep it under budget and avoided (almost) every luxury item and included (mostly) only performance items like sports suspension and seats and I never regretted it. I just tried that philosophy with the Taycan build and easily trimmed over $7k off the bottom line. There's another $5-7k that could be trimmed but a combination of FOMO and the devil on my right shoulder whispering that I *should* have sports chrono, ACC, night vision and insulated glass won't let me (yet).

Just get exactly what you want. You will only regret not getting things. Never having them. Except maybe the electric charge door if it fails
