Hi all - I apologize as I am sure this information has already been discussed in the forum but I couldn't find it. Please feel free to point me to an existing thread if I have missed it.

I am told that I should expect an allocation for my Taycan in the next 1-2 weeks. What does this mean in reality? I've paid my $2.5k deposit already.

Once I have an allocation, how long will it be before the build is "locked"?

What are next steps after allocation and how long should I expect to wait before taking delivery (based on current climate of chip shortages etc)?

Will they expect an additional payment prior to delivery?

Your dealer should be able to answer schedule questions. And at some point, you should get an invite to Track Your Dream which will show the car’s progress milestones with dates, but they can change, so don’t get too excited.

You shouldn’t need any additional money down until you take delivery.

TYD example:
