Shug excellent the piei is already installed and working as it should according to the tutorial now I just need to receive the vAS and do the configuration to finish, as soon as I receive the charger and the 12v battery fuses arrive I will connect the batteries and charge the car and finally I will finally do the diagnosis ? I will be in contact here daily so that you can give me some tips, I thank you and everyone immensely for everything so far…..Another thing I also want to say is that I will make available here later all these files related to this piwi and how to install it because just like me someone will certainly need it one day and this way they won't have to go around the internet downloading downloads that don't work!

Good job Carlos.

Here is something to get you going

Once you have the VCI driver installed, you should see something like this:-

The sequence to start using PIWIS is :-

Porsche Taycan Piwi diagnostic program for Porche Taykan 1736716424039-g9

2. Connect the computer to the Vehicle Communication Module (VCI)

Then, connect the VCI to the vehicles OBD port and switch on the PIWIS Tester.

Select Guest account from the central display (PCM) and activate Privacy mode.

3. Switch on ignition.

4. The system should auto detect your vehicle with a screen like this

The fault memories of the control units are read out.

6.3 Once you have read out the fault memories, check the fault memory entries.

Information

6.4 Press F8“ to delete fault memory entries.

6.5 Press F12“ ('Yes') in response to the question as to whether you really want to delete all fault memory entries.

Thanks Shug, I'll only be able to connect the computer to the car the day after tomorrow because the charger hasn't arrived yet, it's estimated to be delivered by the 15th,and I really have to charge the 800v battery as soon as possible because when I disconnected the save switch the battery only had 3%! And then I'll only have the charger for the 12V battery around the 20th because it was on AliExpress….Anyway, it looks like it won't snow tomorrow. I'll take advantage of the opportunity to check the fuses above the 12V battery. The charger should arrive the next day and I'll charge the car to 80%, after that I'll check the errors and delete them and see what happens.... Then, from the 20th, I'll be able to go further with Piwi because by then I'll have the charger here, for the 12V battery.

According to what I read in the explanation for installing the Drive, they say, Next up is to get the link to the VAS 6154 up and running. The software instructions have this ominous message:

Never and under any circumstances DON’T start the VCI driver with computer connected to the Internet and VAS6154 connected to it, as this will immediately remove the license from VAS6154.

Yup,

Have read about the warnings, but have to say that I cannot see why the VCI will call home on its own, so no idea where that has come from. Personally, I would ignore those warnings.

From what I understand, you would need to open the VX manager programme and request an update to the firmware to make changes to the VCI.

However, if you want to be sure. just make sure you are not connected to the internet when using PIWIS. PIWIS does not require the internet, so disabling it will make no difference.

Hi Shug, good afternoon, ok, the charger for the 800V battery has arrived. I'm going to finish assembling the interior, connect the 12V battery, remove the high voltage switch from off and put the car to charge at least up to 80% with a slow charge.

Carlos,

I think there are two layers of fuses above the 12v battery.

Check the wires coming in, everyone has a fuse.

Since you have battery recalls pending, and generally battery does not like to be stored at high SoC %, I would charge to no more than 80% (rather than at least 80%). You can do that by setting only a general profile (no other profiles or timers) with minimum (yes, not a type, Porsche is confusing) charge level set to 80%.

True, this 80% thing is a bit confusing, as in the last few days I've been taking the car apart, today I had to put back together everything that I took apart in the last few days to check the fuses and the electrical wiring harness inside the car, I arrived at the end of the day already at night, and I couldn't put everything back together, the battery charger also arrived in my hands a little late today, tomorrow in the morning the first thing I'm going to do is connect the 12-volt battery first and put the 800-volt battery safety switch on and then put the car on slow charge until it reaches 80%,!!!! As I mentioned before when I put the safety switch off the car only had 3% battery, now I'll have to charge the battery on slow charge, with this charger that I received today (the charger seems to be 16 v with a digital display, and connect the plug and connect it to the car)

I apologize, I only saw your message now... do you mean that underneath this line that I checked today there is another line of fuses on the 12v battery... ????...

If so, tell me something, because I haven't connected the 12V battery today and I also haven't connected the safety switch to charge the car. I was thinking of doing that in the morning. If there is another line of fuses underneath this one, in the morning I'll disassemble it again and open the bottom part after this line, which I think only has fittings for the top part to come out...

As you can see in the photo, in order to climb up this fuse line and access the one below, in principle I will have to remove the positive screw (circled in yellow) and lift, unclip the fittings from the black box above the battery and remove the fittings...! Can you tell me how I can access the bottom fuse line???? Yes, I saw that several cables enter the bottom of this line in the same box,... (black arrows in the image), high voltage cables (orange) pass alongside and behind... Isn't there any problem, is there????

That is correct Carlos, you will have to remove the screw circled in Yellow to get to the wires / fuses underneath.

When I remove the screw and pull that row of fuses up to access the bottom, there is no problem with the orange high voltage cables coming out of the back and side... I ask this just as a precaution...
