Mars did mine last year on my J1.2 and that outcome is a little different. Matrix works perfectly but afterwards, my parking lights are always on. I can manually turn them off but only while parked. It’ll automatically come back on once I move. Ie, stoplight then drive again.
Side markers are always on as well as rear parking lights and my lit logo. Got used to it so I don’t mind.

Been pinged out the rear camera recall but afraid to take it in. One, don’t want any other issues created or the code overwritten to remove my setup.
This is interesting feedback and would be helpful to @ebarron who is considering J1.2 HD Matrix enable.

Agreed,

Thanks, @SergeyIndy I'm trying to get a good handle on the viability of activating on a 2026 4S CT.

So far the concerns I've seen are:
* Potential for coding getting overwritten
* side marker work/don't work
* now parking lights.

Also what equipment we need to enable
* Which OBD to use

Anyone acheived what might be called full success on a J1.2?

Good question, the OBD that Mars linked for the J1.2 costs $489 delivered vs. $45 for J1.1.

Just confirming the behavior I’m seeing on my car:
  • Daytime: When the car is on, the front DRLs don’t illuminate until I start moving.
    • My rear bar comes on as DRL with front.
  • Nighttime: when the car us on, the headlights come on along with the front DRLs.
    • When I lock the car the parking lights are on for 30 seconds or so.

J1.1
Hope this helps.

Please confirm if you have J1.1 or J1.2 as it is not obvious. I can confirm that my J1.1 parking lights do not work at all after the coding, so the only time I see them now in action is when the blinker is on, but otherwise they are off.

Check these parameters. DRLs function like that as a result of having the rear light bar always on.

Chirping in with a question:
Why did you decide to pay to get your lights done vs just coding them yourself?
I’m getting ready to DIY and I’d love to understand the rationale for paying someone

In my case I would pay someone else because I either can’t figure out or don’t know how to get the right PIWIS to set it up, and then I’m afraid to brick the car afterwards. The set of instructions I’ve seen are all over the place and there isn’t a definitive store to get the right software.

YEP. Exactly thats why. After watching someone else coding few options in my car I got a better understanding and coded myself a few things.

I’d really love to create a definitive manual with steps, screenshots, etc for each coding category: lights, drive features, parking features, etc.

I agree, the info isn’t organized enough it’s spread over multiple forums, threads and posts within the threads.

Porsche Partner Network.
Contact Porsche on how to get one. Prepare to submit a lot of paperwork.
So basically not a “consumer product” which means that I’m best to pay someone else?

If you have a MY24 car you need a PPN account.
What does the account do, and what does not having it limit you from doing?
