Porsche Connect - Transferring the navigation destination to the PCM issue

Over the weekend, I tested the Explore function on the Porsche Connect app on my phone. I searched for a destination and hit “Send to vehicle.” When I got to my Taycan, the destination was not listed on the navigation. I decided to reenter all of the details in the navigation (car not app/phone). Everything worked and I got to where I wanted to go.

I arrived at my destination, did my thing and then hopped back into my car. The display asked me if I wanted to go to the destination that I previously sent from my phone. At that point, I was already there. It gave me a chuckle.

Has anyone experienced this with the Porsche Connect app? How do I get the “Send to vehicle” function to work properly?

I've experienced this. Sometimes after using connect app to 'send to vehicle' you can go into the navigation and wait for a second. Actively having the navigation app in the PCM seems to help it get the route faster. But, similar to your experience, sometimes it just never loads and I have to enter it manually. I haven't found a "real" solution to the issue.

I’ll keep my eye on it and try a few more times. It’s a good to know that it works as intended a lot of the time. Maybe an app update will work out the bugs.

My21 4s still does this too. Haven't gotten the uPdate.
