How did you get the connection between "Mothership", which I assume is your home and the Taycan. That is the connection I am having trouble with to make the full circle.
"MOTHERSHIP" is my Taycan's WiFi network.

I have a theory:
Those lines are not always visible, in fact, they won't stay connected.
So I think the car, the app and the Porsche server are just checking if there's data to be shared.
After data transfer, the lines disconnect.
Proof me wrong. :)

Why would the Taycan need to connect to itself? In my app, which i've given up on until they update it, shows my home wifi.

There's the WiFi of the car and there's the database IN the car (together called "PCM", Porsche Communication Management). :)

Today I want to test if it charges to the desired charge (30%) at the desired time (22:30h), no airco.
Porsche Taycan Porsche Connected app functions not all working? Screenshot_20200608-185035

Note the blue is "moving"...
When it's not plugged in it's green and not moving.
When it's charging it's green and moving.
Looks intuitive, right?
I guess red and moving means call 911.

Maybe that's because I'm at 10 meters away.
So far so good, at least it does what it supposed to do.
Let's see if it's at 30% at 22:30h (that's 3,5 hours from now)...
:)

Ok, I've done five charge sessions at work.
They all went well, no problem, pre-conditioning works ok too.
Now, at my work I can't get connection to the car through the app (and am unable to change anything).
At home it's no problem.
Well, not if you open the app only once (once an hour or so but opening too often will result in no connection too).
Maybe it has something to do with the reciever in the car as it turns out it's a location issue.
Can you guys check this and post your results here?

PS Porsche is aware of this problem (talked to my dealer saturday).

Isn't there another app called Porsche Car Connect? I thought that's the one that provides the remote control functionality. Or at least that's what their literature says here: https://www.porsche.com/usa/models/718/718-cayman-models/porsche-connect/connect-apps/

But not sure it's applicable to all regions or just EU (I am in US).

For sure, porsche could do better on the software. There's so many different apps all doing little pieces!

The Car Connect app is for the older models so it won’t work with the Taycan according to my Porsche rep.

I'm stuck at "Loading user profiles..." EVERY time. I have to clear the app data and cache (essentially resetting everything) to get it semi-functional again. :(
I have the same problem, it was working fine and then 2 nights ago it stopped, I wonder if they updated the app. I set the profile to charge to 50%, so that I could finish the charge using solar the next day. However, I only discovered the problem once it was charged (from the grid) at 90%.

Does your car show the LTE symbol/letters in the top right corner? My car shows =/= (no LTE data) and has done so for 3 weeks now.

I'll check, could be a coverage problem.
Still, I have send profiles to the car without any problems.
Sometimes it says "try again" but it's already there...

Only thing I like to see working too are functions like lights, close/open doors and horn cuz these functions appear on the screen as "buttons" but disappear shortly after that...

My dealer has said that the window/lock/horn buttons that are visible in the Connect app for other Porsche cars are not yet active for the Taycan. He did have any guidance as to when and whether this functionality would be available.

Dealers know nothing.
Sometimes I have to tell them how it works...
But then again, my dealer is a good one with excellent service. :)

I see, that's good informartion on the "car connect" (as opposed to "connect"). My dealer is probably not aware that car connect is not relevant for Taycan
