As I wait for my build to complete, I thought I'll ask the next set of questions.

1. What kind of protection films does everyone recommend ?

2. Tire and Wheel insurance from Porsche ? (I have the mission e wheels - painted in white)

3. All season tires. if I didn't (check) all season tires 21", what would I be getting ? Are there winter tires available for the 21". I'm in New York but haven't driven extensively in ages. Never changed tires based on season, but would love to learn that what I should do.

4. Insurance. I know this varies but anyone suggest any particular insurance in the North East region (New York).

5. Fixing car plates in NYC ?

6. Do you recommend a dash camera ?

Thanks !

If the temperature drops below 45F the grip, particularly braking distance, is better on winter tyres so I would imagine they are a good choice where you live for the winter.

I always have a separate set of wheels and tyres for winter, which is rare in the UK (foolishly IMO) and it seems you will have to as well, I have specified 21" wheels for my dry tyres on my CT4S but am buying a set of winter wheels and tyres on 20" wheels (which I don't like the styling of as much but better safety than pretty IMO) since they don't do a 21" winter tyre choice in the Techquipment list..

I wouldn't recommend all season tyres for such a sophisticated vehicle as a Taycan, the tyre is the only connection with the ground and they are simply not all that bad in differing conditions but never actually good in any either. It is the cheapskate solution which doesn't fit a Porsche at all IMO.

1) I think all the protection films are excellent--the variable is the expertise of the installers. That should be your primary consideration.

2) I didn't buy it so no opinion.

3) My Taycan came with summer tires. I didn't notice an option to get something else.

4) I have AAA and they're great.

5) I have no front license plate affixed. I hate the look, so I'll take my chances with a ticket.

6) No.
