I thought the issue was that Apple Maps via CarPlay wasn’t working correctly but you’re not even running Waze via CarPlay?
I tried CarPlay on the Taycan, but it wasn't connecting reliably wirelessly, and I ended up plugging the iPhone in - in the end, figured I would try the native system, and liked it.

Got it. I like it too, use it whenever I need to navigate somewhere but also try it out through Waze. Trust but verify lol.

The issue with the EV SoC seems to be resolved with the new iPhone update to version 19, released a couple of days ago.

I got so annoyed with the CarPlay EV SoC Apple Maps feature that I disconnected it.
On my daily commute, Siri would spontaneously announce that battery information 'may no longer be accurate', and then announce again for resumption.
Seemed to happen during long stretches of no cellular data connection.
I got tired of hearing that four times a day.

I would connect it and then get about 10-20 minutes into any journey and it would say it was disconnected.

I reconnected it day before yesterday and have had no disconnects since.

It seems odd that no signal would be the issue, but I guess it’s perfectly possible. Perhaps they do talk to each other via the cloud (certainly, ABRP’s system does) and maybe there was a bug reconnecting after a disconnect. Whatever the case, I’ve had no disconnect messages and the SoC is up date in Apple Maps and shows the same data and refresh time as ABRP. That says to me the issue is resolved.
