Do you have it enabled under Assistance, but the button to disable it on demand is not there on the camera screen?
No, it’s not listed in the “Assistance” page, but the system menu (“…”) does have settings for how it should intervene (relaxed to aggressive). Hence thinking that it’s a purely-software feature.
Oh well ??‍♂

May be, though I'm fairly certain I've experienced this unexpected braking once or thrice. The cameras and sensors are there, auto-braking is there (kicks in on hill holding) - not sure what else could be missing (radar?).

I may be wrong, as I'm not inclined to test this scenario (hmm, I do have a stack of styrofoam blocks laying about.. ?), and it's possible that in the few occasions where I've observed this there was a slight incline (and so I've experienced hill holding, and not auto braking).
Kerbside parking sensors.

If you don't have remote park assist option then you won't have what @whitex has. Period.

All cars have the collision brake warn assist. When on an incline or descent and the car detects unintended movement/ rolling and automatically will apply the brakes. You can adjust the sensitivity which is handy when manoeuvring on an incline.

The enhanced version of this comes with the somewhat expensive (and pointless) upgrade to 360 / surround park assist called Remote Park Assist which adds various features you are unlikely to use (trust issues) including manoeuvring assist.

Chill. I wasn't contesting that point, simply expressed an opinion that the feature could be software-locked. Looking around my car, it seems to have enough hw to have the ability to auto-brake in some situations (square on). As ever, Porsche probably deemed this to be a good differentiating point for the upper trims/packages.

And I honestly could not care less, I thought it was interesting from a software perspective.

Yea, if you already have LCA, that means you have side radars. There is a small possibility those radars are different for cross traffic detection (longer range, off axis velocity). Other than that, you should also already have the cameras and the ultra-sonic sensors. However, if it was only software, why would they not make it available FOD? Extra revenue source. I get why some things, such as "GTS to Turbo" upgrade might play against their tiered product strategy, but things like the Remote Park Assist, if it in fact a purely software defined feature, is not much different from Inodrive, which is an FOD feature. The only thing (other than marketing) I can think of is that perhaps some part of Remote Park Assist, perhaps the Remote-Controlled Parking, requires additional hardware, and they didn't code/verify individual components of Remote Park Assist as independent features, so no way to enable them one at a time.
