I wouldn't say that's the "right lighting", it's a showroom - outside it looks completely different.
Part of it is that the paint is very reflective. It looks quite purple at night with streetlights and more towards blue during day. My dealer has a purple GTS in the showroom, so at least I was able to see it in person

Very true.

3 components of paint that must be considered:
How does it look in bright sun/showroom light, overcast and in the dark.

Amethyst looks beautiful in bright lights, but black in the dark

Got to admit, the Metallic does look good,
Ive got a GTS in Ultra Violet which also looks amazing!!

I love this colour. I think the Spyder diamond cut wheels look great as a combination. Rather than all black wheels.

With my garage lighting it's very purple.

You better really like color Purple if you spec your car with it.

If you don't want a monochrome car and don't want to pay for PTS, then you only can choose between:
Purple Sky,
Carmine Red,
Oak Green Neo,
a bunch of different Blues (Pale Blue Metallic, Neptune Blue, Gentian Blue, Frozen Blue).
Frozen Berry/Provence.

Out of those colors the only ones that pop are the Carmine Red, Frozen Blue and the Purple Sky. The rest are either quite dark or basically shades of gray with a bit of color (e.g. Pale Blue Metallic, Frozen Berry, Provence).

Purple sky has the additional benefit over Carmine Red of being a new color for the facelift only, so a little bit more unique for now.

It should have been a PTS color, it's that special, which I would have still ordered.
