Reset PCM ?

Any trick to get the PCM back ? I’ve tried the two button reset on the screen and leaving the car locked for half hour.

kind of want to avoid driving home 8 hours with no infotainment.

Got in car after being out at dinner and screen has been like this ever since

Lift the 12V negative battery cable for 2-3 min.

You can also lock the car; and go 50m+ away for 15 or so mins.

This completely shuts down the car, which may help, if you don’t want to mess with the 12v

So you tried the reset when you hold two fingers on the top right corner of the screen? It works for me every time mine gets locked up.

Alternative: turn the fob off by holding open & close for a couple of seconds until the red light flashes on/off, or remove the fob battery.

The latest version of the PCM for J1.2 has removed the two fingers reboot as a function in the PCM.

OP seems to have a J1 Taycan, but perhaps the PCM has been similarly updated recently to remove the two finger reboot?

I would think that the reboot function hasn't been removed so much as it is now activated via a different method. Anyone have any contacts at a dealership or service manual that can share what the new reboot sequence is?
