Hi,

when reversing with the steering wheel turned left or right and the road is uneven, I hear some squeaky noises.I cannot hear them outside. Has anybody had any issues as that? It’s definitely not breaks as I don’t apply breaks in those moments. It sounds like a rubber rubbing against each other…

Yes! This just started happening a few days ago. I have the exact same symptoms. I can get it to repeat just at the right angle on a drive way. When I go slightly forward, slightly reverse...same squeak. I suspect it might be suspension related, upper part of the front left suspension. Maybe the mounting area? I have a service appointment scheduled for June 13th. Hopefully, I'll be able to reproduce the noise, which never seem to be reproducible when taken to the dealership.

It turned out to be upper front arms. The rubber ribs against the body and produces squeaks. They applied some lubrication and the sound is gone, but they wonder if it really helps in long term. It was decided to open a ticket and ask the factory whether those arms should be changed or not

Thanks for the update! I'll use this to give the techs a slight nudge in the right direction--don't want to come off like a person who goes into the doctor's office and gives them a self-diagnose. Hopefully, when my dealer inquires about a resolution Porsche will have already decided on a permanent resolution.

What’s about your car? Did you figure the problem out?

Same here. Like some rubber on rubber noise from behind the steering column. But I can see that its inner VW is coming alive ? Mine has just under 12k kms and rattles and creaks are starting to become more pronounced. Wood on the door panels, B pillars (especially where the seatbelt connects), I’m thinking about taking it to some detailer to fix all that.

Oh, b pillars. I put some texture like tape there and it’s silent now. It’s very easy to do. I still have some rattle coming from the back of the driver’s seat.

Oh now that you mentioned seats, whenever I don’t have a front passenger it’s quite playful as well. Mozart is jealous

I had drivers seat rattle fixed 3 times by the dealer. Turns out if you drive in the lower most position - it starts scratching rubber seals. I moved it 1cm up and it’s been silent ever since

@rim23

They replaced the front control arm, and now they want to replace the axle because the foreman said the car is not riding as smooth as it should. Not sure why replacing the control arm would make the ride harsher and what the an axle has to do with it. But hey, whatever it takes to get my car back to normal.
