Taycan Extended Warranty

Today I purchased a 96 month / 100,000-mile Porsche Platinum warranty with $250 Deductible from Porsche Chandler. I'll easily burn up near all the allowed miles given how many I've got on my 4S+ now. That covers other stuff aligned with the battery warranty duration and gives me time to continue to have fun until the next gen Taycan comes on board. Or something even better. Given I'm currently in the shop for a new HV battery, this will definitely allow me to sleep better at night.

Still love the car! It's amazing!

Are folks just calling and asking for extended warranties or is this something that gets offered as you get closer to expiration of original warranty?

The dealer pays Porsche approx. $3K to certify a car up to 6 years or 100K miles.

the official Platinum VSP seems to go up to 100k miles total from first day of initial purchase. is there a way to go over this?

so a +60k warrant take it to 110k miles.

In April of this year, I paid $3,648 for a 96 month / 60,000 mile Porsche Platinum with $250 Deductible. 2021 Turbo.

96 months from in service date (so inclusive of any factory warranty) or 96 from date of purchase of the warranty ? If on a new car and inclusive , the 96 is really 48 additional.

In service date. Doing so synchronizes the battery warranty with the rest of the car.

Hoehn Porsche Carlsbad - had bought GT3 from them the month prior but found them followed by Chandler to be the best at pricing (I called about 7 dealers I have purchased from before - hadn't dealt with Chandler but they came very very close on price)

I have a 2020 Taycan 4S bought from Hoehn and have been quoted $4,870 for the 96 month/60K miles/$250 ded. So that is a huge difference from your price.

Hey guys, new here and a new owner. Just got this quote for my 2021 Taycan RWD with 29k miles, both w/ $250 deductible and before tax. Seems about in-line with the ~$1k/year some others have seen. What do you guys think?

• 8 year (5 remaining) - $5404
• 9 year (6 remaining) - $6377

Just finished my 20k service on my 2022 Taycan CT.
I inquired about the extended warranty from Porsche since I will likely be at 50k in 2 years.

I was quoted the following:

1 year up to 75k $4997
3 years up to 100k $7547

Has anyone priced an extended warranty? Are the prices comparable?

anyone have any issues out of warranty or beyond 60k miles?

Throwing in my 2 cents.

After getting a couple extended warranty quotes from Porsche (including the one in Chandler, AZ which supposedly has some of the best prices), I opted to go with Xcelerateauto. They are well respected in the Tesla and EV world, and after pricing out options on their website and speaking with one of their advisors, Cary, I was completely sold. I’d suggest taking a look at them too.
