I have bought a 4S few months ago, but unfortunately can't get a home charger where I live. I started regretting not going for RWD as it offers more miles.

Would a RWD would have been better, I never drove 1, so I'm not sure if the 4S is worth the difference in range?

Thanks

I have some recent perspective. Owned a Model 3 Performance since they came out in 2018. Just got a new 2025 base Taycan after also test driving a 4S a few times. I picked the base model mainly because of the color but also thinking I needed the extra range. I didn’t feel I needed the extra power. As it turns out, the new models seem to underestimate range. The base will always have more range, but I’m sure you will find the 4S has enough, particularly when you can enjoy the extra power it delivers.

You can switch to Range mode and you’ll get RWD 🤷‍♂️😇

4S will be much better in the winter for driving and both will see a drop in range come winter.

All Taycans are predominantly RWD biased if not RWD only.

Depending on choice of wheels the range (real world and not what Porsche quote ((WLTP)) won't be materially different I would have thought.

Run your car in Range mode to see if that helps (less use of the front motor).

The problem isn't the model. Its the fact you cant charge at home?

I’ve had my 4S limo (!!) since April. It was an ex demo with 7k. It achieved 2.6m/kwh before I picked it up and I’ve since got 2.7 (6k) so with 97kw of usable battery it’s around 260miles at 100% and 210 at 80%. It will be interesting how the cold weather in the UK affects this. I get around 2.6 on MWAY (80-90mph) and 3 around town.

Consumption should be lower potentially- I got 3.0 over 20K miles since new on my 4S with 20" - J1.1. Come winter I was lucky to see 205 miles after a full charge.
