I have no idea what the situation is in the other poster's market of Hungary, but in the U.S., BMW has pretty much caught up on the i4 ... pretty much.

The situation here at first was absurdly bad, b/c BMW in 2021 started taking so-called pre-orders for 2022 delivery. But that was really just a wait list to get on a specific dealer's allocation wait list.
So the wait to be able to wait to place an actual order to have the car produced and shipped was ... impressively (in a bad sense) long.

Flash forward to today, and allocations for the two RWD trims are available immediately at most U.S. dealers, along with reasonably spec'ed vehicles actually in inventory, at modest discounts off MSRP.

The two AWD trims are more of a mixed bag. I placed my deposit on the M50 in early February (the only AWD trim that was available at the time) and took delivery three months later (with about half of that interval = waiting at the German port + sailing the high seas).
But I emailed about a dozen dealers and placed deposits with four different dealers.

I'm still reading about nightmare stories of would-be M50 purchasers making almost no progress on a dealer's allocation wait list, but I suspect those dealers are allowing line jumping, and such frustrated buyers have always cast their lot with only a single dealer.

Meanwhile, BMW has provided highly encouraging timelines for i5 pre-orders. We'll see how that works out!

(As for personal plans on which car to buy, for me, to replace my current A6 Allroad, probably in 2025, that would be the BMW i5 Touring, with the larger battery from the iX and i7. Plus access to the Tesla Supercharger network! Failing that fantasy, then Audi S6 e-tron Allroad. Failing that fantasy, then either A6 e-tron or 4CT.)
Faster delivery time possible heir too with limited optioning. If the order includes Laser Light and Driving Assistant Professional, waiting time is extending a lot. We have ordered these options.

Second qtr sales figures for Porsche have been released and Taycan sales continue to decline. Compared to the same period last year, Taycan sales have declined by 35%. That's quite significant. I am starting to wonder if Porsche blaming supply chain issue is still the crux of the decline or there is something else going on? EV's in general are piling up on dealer lots with average days on lots much higher than ICE vehicles. I noticed depreciation on Taycan's being substantial too. Not intend to get into war of words here with anyone as I am a Taycan fan though have not taken the plunge yet but just concerned about Taycan's future. Is the low mileage but higher price the reason? What do you all think?
Think a lot of us are fed up with reliability problems and wait for parts. The trade are now aware the Taycan is not as good as it should be and I would be terrified to own one out of warranty defenitly won’t buy another

By that definition, the most disliked and unpopular products are the most exclusive products.
Yeah. one reason that i picked the MINI SE. Though, going to trade it in when the CT arrives

Now that I’ve gotten mine I don’t care. I get to enjoy mine every day as it’s my daily and it’s amazing
You literally took the words right out of my mouth. This car is a joy to drive. Even if that costs me 5-10% of value a year, its worth it vs a everyday beater car :)

You can post whatever you want, but for the record, most of us have not had any serious problems with our Taycans and are enjoying driving them every day without the issues you describe. Six+ months of issues is not a common experience. Your situation is what “Lemon Laws” were created to address.

My hope for you is that you either get a Taycan that works, or move on to some other vehicle. At some point hopefully you will want to change your Account picture to something other than the red screen of death. Good luck!
I was about to say I would change my account picture but read on……after feeling ignored by Porsche I was delighted to get a new loan Taycan with all the trimmings, the new sun roof with the electric blind, the massage seats, heads up display, and much more. I had a huge smile on my face when I turned on the heads up display , it’s like magic. BUT today the car says the PCM cannot start as there is not enough charge. It’s 97% charged on the main battery but I guess the 12v is depleted because we used the gadgets. Surely it should have recharged by now, a day later? I have a horrible feeling this car has one of the other problem’s mentioned in other forums here, the ‘12v battery won’t charge problem’ requiring a software update at the garage, I should find a flat closer to the garage to save time! Remember this is the loan car not my car. Will the battery be flat tomorrow locking me out?! Let’s wait and see….. So no I’m not changing my profile picture any time soon.

In the UK we have a Government with no clue, high interest rates and a cost of living crisis for many.

Likely they gave you a loaner off the lot that sat for a while and they didn’t charge the battery.

I think you are right, plus my daughter just admitted that she had the massage chair on all day on Sunday :) so I think that’s probably killed it. I need to be more positive from now on.

Honestly, I am so sorry for your problems and wish you the best of luck getting a Taycan that is trouble-free. If that happens I know you're going to love it.

Enjoy your new loaner (and no massage for a while perhaps?)!!

Every time I’ve bought a Porsche off the lot, I’ve had battery issues. I just expect it at this point.

That is so funny! This is exactly why I didn't option that... I've never experienced that in a car and do not want to ever find out what I'm missing. Money saved! Good luck getting your Taycan sorted out ?.

ha - funny enough the a6 allroad is the other car I’m considering. How do you like it?
I found a one year old Neptune Blue CT4 totally optioned out with limited use for $30,000 under MSRP.......... I had to pull the trigger.....CT4's are hard to find in rare spec's.......
