From my dealer's monitor (saw personally but was not allowed to take a pic):
- AWD
- Will be introduced in two bodies first, as 4-door and Sport Turismo
- Power is +30HP on the 4s, so 520HP (before over boost/without launch control)
- We can order it in EU from ca. November

Chip issue might delay it, who knows these times.
It is on their monitor for about 6 months. Not public of course (yet).

Very interesting to hear, my dealer has put me on the list for the GTS but I was having doubts waiting!

Anyway as comparison with other models on the HP I found this (without overboost):

The maximum power is 240 kW (326 PS; 322 hp) for the base model, 280 kW (381 PS; 375 hp) for the base with 93 kWh Performance Battery Plus, 320 kW (435 PS; 429 hp) for the 4S, 360 kW (489 PS; 483 hp) for the 4S 93 kWh Performance Battery Plus, and 460 kW (625 PS; 617 hp) for the Turbo and Turbo S models

+30 HP… not much. I was hoping for at least +60 HP, so it was between a Turbo and a 4S+. Guess the 0-100 time will also only be a little faster than the 4S+?

To be more precise, on the monitor data was in kW (390). Will be only Performance Battery+. Date with overboost was not shown. So I was talking about PS not HP. I always mix them up...

Me too! Was not very happy when I saw it... On the other hand it is exactly the same as Carrera 4S/GTS. 30PS+.
Acceleration depends on the overboost power, that we do not now yet unfortunately.
My bet is: they'll put it in the middle (4S/Turbo) so 0-100km/h 3.6s.

The irony being with heavier pack you get more power, but ultimately unnoticeable cause it’s…heavier.

Agreed! I was hoping for bang in the middle so 410kW, but you never know the performance figures until it’s actually announced. Some rumours suggested it may be lighter than the other models so we could possibly see the 0-60 times sit in the middle of the 4S and Turbo.

Regardless I think the GTS will be the sweet spot for me, I found the 4S to lack a bit on acceleration when test driving it.

It’s not just the power; there’ll be some weight savings.

Well, I would not expect much... Carrera GTS only slightly lighter than 4S. And it is mostly voice insulation.

The officially 0-100 time for the 4S+ is really conservative. We have seen 0-100 in 3.7 sec in real life, so with only +30 HP (and some minor weight savings) with the GTS, maybe the official 0-100 time will be 3.6 sec, and 3.5 in real life. That’s only 0.2 sec in real life difference.

If my math is correct I guess you have to move up to a turbo/turbo s to feel a real difference in acceleration. Well time will tell ?

My conclusion: If you think about GTS, you have to wait for it. Will not regret it for sure. It is always a sweet spot, since introduced.
/1. Similarly equipped/same price than 4S
/2. +30PS to the above
/3. Limited production time (3-4 years per 7 years model cycle), so little bit unique/easi(er) to sell.

The market recently is a mess with the semi-conductor issue, cars arriving without functions (see other topics). Better to give time to it and get a GTS then.

Yeah let’s see what they come up with, if indeed it is a 30kW jump over the 4S then we are looking at the following matrix:

4S+ - 360kW - 0-60 in 3.8 seconds
GTS - 390kW - 0-60 in 3.5 seconds (guessing!)
Turbo - 460kW - 0-60 in 3.0 seconds

Note the quoted 0-60s are with over boost…and the GTS is my guess on where it will be…maybe 3.4 seconds to split in the middle with some weight savings!
