Let me start by saying I’m a chick, and I love my 2021 Taycan. I’ve been driving it for over four years and have never experienced any issues besides the usual recalls — most recently the battery recall, during which my baby was in the shop for about three months. In the end, they told me they gave me a brand-new 2025 battery. Great!

But that’s not why I’m here. Sorry in advance for the whining — hopefully, I’ll get a pass for being a chick.:p

Can you freaking believe my dealership never gave me the second key fob? I followed up with them multiple times during the first 18 months after I purchased the car. Then I moved across the country, followed up a couple more times, and eventually forgot about it. Fast-forward four years later, and now they’re making me pay for the missing fob.

I even got Porsche NA involved, hoping they’d help me get the key, but in the end, they sided with the dealership and told me I’d still have to pay. I never thought that spending $100k on a car would mean I wouldn’t get my second key fob without a fight.

The Porsche Collection dealership in Miami was terrible to deal with. Their excuse was, “The salesperson has left, and we have a new system, so there’s no way for us to know whether we gave you the second fob or not.”

I’m honestly so disappointed. This entire experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I know for sure my next car will not be a Porsche. At this point, I’d get a Hyundai — I’m pretty sure the service would be 100% better.:CWL:

Let me start saying I'm a boy (not sure why it was mentioned LOL). Sucks what happened, but don't get why you never would buy a Porsche again over something like this. The car is amazing, you just have problems with the service department of a local dealer.

Are you saying that you were able to produce written evidence of chasing them for that 2nd fob, and in spite of that, they claim that you cannot demonstrate that you did not get it ?

Agree with @Jasper4S, have to somehow find a way to dissociate the car from the dealer, but Porsche NA is an extension for Porsche AG, and i understand the feeling.

I understand the feeling too. But she is loving the car. Had no issues at all, just an experience with service people. Why would an incident, how stupid it may be, keeping you from buying another thing again? I probably can't buy anything if small things keep me away from brands

100% agree with Jasper, how can you “love” something and then say: yea but the person who sold it to me 4 years ago accidentally screwed me for $200 when I was spending 100k$, I’ll get a Hyundai next time..
Leave a negative review and move on.

Understand the feeling too, feels like an injustice and that sucks. Try not to dwell on it.

Good to hear you got a new 2025 battery, that’s awesome.

The Collection (Miami) is awful. I guess they haven't changed much. A while back I took my Audi TT there because I was having random misfires. They held the car about 3 weeks then came back and said that I needed a new head, valves etc... at the cost of $14K and it would not be covered under warranty because I had "abused" the car. My car was lowered with wheels at the time but no other modifications.

I had my car towed home and began logging via VCDS. Changed the coilpacks, sparkplugs and moving injectors around. Since the misfire was moving around to different cylinders I drained the fuel tank and filled up with new fuel. Car ran amazing after that for many years.

Moral of the story, stay way from the Collection (Miami) not the manufacturer.

Cuz it sounds petty to whine about something kinda trivial :)

Yes, I was able to produce email and voice message from their service people. I just find Porsche NA taking excuses from the dealership and sided with them is ridiculous. Even my Honda Accord got 2 keys. It bothers me about they handled the situation really.

But how Porsche handled something this small.. says a lot about the brand... highly disappointed in them
