Bottomed out badly and scratched the front aero lip.
Luckily it's a separate piece that can be purchased for around $600 for a cheap piece of plastic.

There are 7 star screws that need to be removed, but lifting it is required. I used some ramps to get the clearance.
Took around 45min, applied 2 layers of ceramic coating to give the plastic some depth, hydrophobicity and protects it against oil stains.

Ouchie. Did you go under something? That's an odd set of scratches!

I did something similar with my 4S. I was less excited to do it myself. Cost about $1,100 from the body shop associated with my dealership. I was expecting the price tag to be much worse.

4s you can put scrape guards underneath to prevent future damage.

Nothing can be done to protect this one, unfortunately

That is good to know but I hit mine pretty hard. It definitely needed replacement.

When I took my car for a CPO inspection I was told it needed to be replaced. We went back and forth about a piece of plastic that was most likely going to get broken again, and its relationship to CPO. In the end I just gave up and paid the $1100 to get it out of the way too

We definitely “car” differently.

With those scratches out of the way, I would feel better not having to be as paranoid over speed bumps, etc.

Even if selling those don’t look bad enough to fix. With steep driveways, parking stops, bad roads, speed humps and bumps, I don’t think I’ve seen a car without that part damaged.

Yes I'm very picky. I plan on changing it once a year as routine maintenance.
I like to keep close to concours level as possible. Even seat rails have no dust.

My RS E-Tron GT was practically flawless after 3 years, 36k miles with only a couple of swirl marks that someone else did.

Perhaps pay a hacker/moder to develop special sensor on/under the lip to trigger Porsche Active Ride lift whenever approaching anything that might scratch it from underneath.

I bet you could 3d print them for 1% of the cost.

I volunteer.. if anyone wants to send me a set, I'll scan them, reverse engineer them and then send them right back to you.
