- Consider a second motor ("cruise assist") for each motor of the vehicle that is automatically geared much lower to rotate less revolutions per wheel spin.
-If practical, this could also serve as extra power-assist to the 0-70/75mph and then the main motors have electricity 'cut' from them to allow the smaller 'cruise assist' motors to maintain the speed.
This is almost what Porsche already does with the front motor, if you think about it. It’s just tied to the front wheels instead of another motor.

One consideration in keeping a fixed low gearing for the “0-60” motors is, if they’re PM, the back EMF may get too high if they aren’t mechanically decoupled. So maybe something different has to be done with the windings (?‍♂ I’m not a motor building expert) or a different motor like IM would have to be used.
